Self-Care During Holidays: Clear Your Space

If you have any vacation or personal days left at work, cash some of them in. Unfortunately, my job doesn’t let vacation/personal days rollover to the next year. So, I tend to find myself having a few left in November and December and use them sporadically for those days when I refuse to get out of bed. Thankfully, my work loads get lighter around the end of the year and don’t feel any guilt. However, we need to remove the guilt we sometimes feel when we take a day off. If you don’t feel like going to work and you have the luxury of not having to go – don’t go. Mental health days are real and needed. Use that day to binge all of your favorite holiday movies or do some Christmas shopping in the middle of the day; without the crowds.

Do you, boo!
