For the majority of the year, I don’t wear socks. It might be a little harsh, but at times I feel like I hate socks. Sounds dramatic typing it out, but it’s the truth. So, when it starts getting colder and flip flops are no longer the go-to shoe option, I have to start wearing socks again. Thankfully, I’m live in a time when socks are not just something to keep your feet warm, but can be fashion statements. One of the new fashion statements for fall and winter are pretty sheer socks.

Although I’m not a fan of fashion socks, I can definitely get behind this trend. If you want to wowed some pretty insanely beautiful socks that are merely here for being “cute”, then keep reading.

As you can tell, sheer socks look like the foot portion of oversized stockings and don’t provide much, if any, warmth. So, these socks are mainly for show and are party ready when paired with a fun pump. Usually, fun tights are the way to go for holiday parties, but maybe it’s time to invite pretty sheer socks to the party.

SHEER SOCKS: Lace

Let’s start with this lacey crew sock by Stance, which is quite fancy. The black lace with rhinestone dots throughout is so pretty and dainty.

A more fun and casual lace option would be these ruffle lace crew socks from Forever 21. I love these, because they remind me of the socks I had as a little girl. My mom would only allow me to wear them to church or picture day at school. The injustice. These are very cute, but I would probably only wear these around the house to feel pretty.

SHEER SOCKS: Sparkly

I’m in love with the look of these sparkly stars sheer socks from Free People. These would look perfect paired with a strappy metallic shoe or even a simple pump. Either way, these will kill any holiday party look you plan to attend.

If you’re more into subtle sparkle, these sheer lace jewel socks might be perfect for you. They’re the perfect complimentary nude shade for most complexion and the jewel dots are very minimal.

SHEER SOCKS: Work-Friendly

If you’re like me and would like to rock a more simple, work-friendly pair of sheer socks, these sheer mesh grid crew socks might work. I have a pair of black ankle trousers that would style perfectly with these and pair of black booties or black loafer mules.

This pair of a sheer socks with an applique flower at the ankle is too pretty and perfect to not have.
