Shopping Chronicles….Revisiting Avon

A couple of months ago, I went to Twitter and asked if someone could recommend a good face primer. One of the responses I got was from a follower who happened to be an Avon rep and recommended I try Avon’s face primer. So, after trying the samples she sent, I decided to order it and them some. List and pictures of what I ordered after the jump.

I might as well start with the main reason I placed this order, the Magix Face Protector with SPF 20. I’m going to do a review on this. So, look out for that!

Yeah, I have facial hair and I don’t want it so I got the Fresh and Smooth hair removal for sensitive skin and it actually works. Although is smells like the typical hair remover, it leaves the skin uber soft. Hence, its from Avon’s Skin So Soft line, which is a cult favorite among lovers of soft skin.

I’ve been a blush and mascara buying bonanza. So, I decided to try out the True Color blush in Classic Aura. I was a little concerned that this blush would be too light for me and wash out on my skin, but I was so wrong. It’s a light rosy pink that creates a nice natural flush to tan skin. This is the blush I reach for when I do a bright lip. Love it.

Avon Glazewear is actually pretty awesome. I got Glazewear Shine in Darling Pink, which is a sheer pink and got Glazewear Intense in Crimson which is pigmented and slightly shimmery deep red.

I saw these mark Soho shades and just knew that I would love them and I do! They have everything I look for in sunglasses: large, UVA/UVB protection, and most importantly, look fabulous! Plus, with a $10 price tag, you can’t beat that!

While in the mark section, I decided to try out a few things, including the hook-up concealer. I didn’t expect it to be so small. However, the coverage is pretty decent and is very blendable. Still, I decided to gift it to my little sister, along with some other makeup I didn’t use. It was just too small for me.

I’ve been addicted to liquid liners and I’ve been wanting to experiment with colored liquid liners. So, I got two On The Edge Liquid Liners in Cleo and Callisto. Cleo is just a simple deep black, so nothing there. The color for Callisto on the website gave the impression that it is a turquoise color. However, when I swiped it, its more of a blue-ish silver. Not what I was expecting or wanted. Plus, like the mark concealer, the container is really small, too.

Since I can’t seem not to buy a new make-up brush as of recently, I threw in a face brush by Avon. Once again, I didn’t expect it to be so small in height, but it is a pretty soft brush and great at blending blush. So, I plan to keep this in my make-up bag.

I don’t see myself purchasing anything else from the mark section, but I was pleased with everything else. I definitely see myself ordering more glazewear glosses and blushes from Avon in the near future.

Also, if you don’t know an avon rep, check out the follower who helped me. Her name is Claudia and you can follow her at twitter.com/claudia374 She helped me out a ton and replied back quickly whenever I had a problem.

Also, I feel the need to mention that I paid for everything mentioned with my own money.
