Statement Sleeves

As you might be able to tell, fall is quickly approaching. So, it’s almost time to pack up those sleeveless tanks and tops and pull out the long sleeves. This is one of the reasons me and my flabby arms love this time of year. However, this season, a simple and basic long sleeve just won’t do, because it’s all about statement sleeves. Needless to say, me and flabby arms are here for it and you should, too. Plus, I’m usually here for statement pieces.

tiered statement sleeves

While browsing Target’s new A New Day line, I ran across this tiered sleeve shirt that I instantly knew that I was going to need this season. I love the plush sleeves and blue and white stripes. I would pair it with a high-waisted pencil skirt or even some straight leg trousers. This shirt is available in all sizes from x-small to 4x. Way to go, Target!

Frilled Statement Sleeves

Isn’t this frilled sleeve top from Zara so ridiculously pretty? Very feminine and would make a great transition piece from summer to fall.

Ovoid statement sleeves

This ovoid sleeve blouse spotted over at Topshop is very demure with it’s romanticism era design and feel. The deep dusty rose hue is very flattering for most complexions.

pleated statement sleeves tee
Statement sleeves don’t have to be so “stuffy” and button-up. This asymmetrical tee with pleated sleeves is a statement all on it’s own. It’s fun and full of unexpected details and design elements. Definitely not your ordinary white tee.

ruffled tiered statement sleeves

Another pleated, ruffled pleated tier top moment brought to you by AX Paris and spotted at Simply Be. I love all the movement and fluidity this one allows you to do. Being a little “extra” never hurts every now and then.
