Essie Expressie Nail Polish Review

Essie Expressie Nail Polish Review | STAINED COUTURE

I’m into nails – it’s my thing. I spent most of my life as nail biter. However, in my late 20s, I stopped biting my nails. Out the blue, I realized I hadn’t bitten my nails in days and noticed they were *gasps* longer. So, I never bite my nails again and haven’t looked back. The one thing that prevented me from biting my nails was to always polish my nails. If I was ever stressed or bored, I whipped out a base coat, color, and top coat and paint my nails. Needless to say, I’ve bought and used a lot of nail polished and brands during this life of mine.

Recently, I decided to try a polish from Essie’s new nail polish line, Expressie. Interested in my thoughts? Well, keep reading for my Essie Expressie Nail Polish Review.

essie Spring 2014 Collection

essie-spring-2014-group

It’s almost time to ditch those dark and subdued polish colors of fall and winter and start swiping on soft and pretty pastel shades for Spring. So, why not start with essie’s Spring 2014 collection?!

Welcome to the fashion playground, where every style hunter is on the lookout for the next big splurge. It’s a thrilling game of hide & go chic. If there are too many stylish options, she’ll have to spin the bottle to decide what looks best. Or maybe she should just take them all back to the romper room and have a look in the mirror. Mirrors never lie, they just play truth or flare.

I was growing my nails out, but I deferred, because I prefer my pretty pastels and a bold colors of spring on shorter nails. I’m loving the shades in this collection.

  • style hunter laser sharp crimson
  • truth or flare vintage blue denim
  • hide & go chic covetable azure blue
  • fashion playground plucky pistachio shimmer
  • spin the bottle semi-sheer nude
  • romper room pale tea rose pink

My Perfect Nude Nail

Everyone is always looking for the perfect nude lip, including me. However, I have found the perfect nude nail polish for me and it’s Essie’s Sweetie Pie. Keep reading for more pics and reason why you need to find the perfect nude nail polish.

I have a strong distaste for chipped polish, but its one of those things that eventually happens. I mean, even Seche Vite gives up after a few days. So, the best way to combat the look of chipped polish is to find  shade that closely resembles the color of your skin and for me that’s Sweetie Pie.

Another wonderful use I have for nude polish is to camouflage the unevenness of my nails. I’m not the biggest fan of trimming my nails to match in length, especially if one nail is short enough to past for a cuticle. So, this is a great cover-up to that.

So, you lovely ladies should stay on the hunt for a nice nude nail polish.

Still, the search for the perfect nude lip combination continues for me.
