Thinking About Relocating…Again

Trying to be a legit and responsible adult can be so stressful, even for single(ish), childless me. These last few months have been testing me and my resilience, but I’ve been able to bounce back. Yet, there have been more than a few times I’ve thought about starting over in a new place. I usually start thinking about relocating during moments of being overwhelmed. However, I’ve yet to pull the trigger.

Thinking about relocating

Although I’ve yet to give my current life the middle finger and dip, if I ever do, there are 3 places in particular that I always think about moving to and starting over. A couple of the cities, I’ve visited before, but there’s that I’ve yet to visit. Keep reading to see which cities I’ve thought to relocate.

Thinking About Relocating: Chicago

Thinking about relocating

When I first visited Chicago about 10 years ago, I instantly fell in love. I was a big city, but had pockets of areas that didn’t make it feel like a big city. I loved that! Plus, there were so many things to do, including places to shop, dine, and explore. Since then, I’ve only been back once and the news that comes out of Chicago isn’t great, but I still love it. The downtown area and the beach along Lake Michigan sold me.

Thinking About Relocating: Minneapolis

Thinking about relocating

Okay, I know a lot of people don’t consider moving to Minneapolis and I get it. However, if you’ve ever visited there, you might change your mind. It’s a very beautiful place to move to. Although they have intense winters, I don’t mind, their summers are pretty perfect. They don’t get as hot as humid as the summers here in the south. Also, it’s the land of a 10,000 lakes, which makes me vision laying by the lake all day. I was just looking at homes in Minneapolis weekend, because if they ever open Prince’s home for tours, I need to be there. Click here to see some homes in the Minneapolis area.

Thinking About Relocating: Dallas

Thinking about relocating

About 3 years, every time I found out someone was moving out of Memphis, they all moved to Dallas. It felt very similar to the mid-90/ early 2000s when everyone and their grandma was moving to Atlanta. I’ve never been to Dallas, but almost everyone in my family visited at some point this year. They all said that they loved the city and would go back. Plus, I have a few friends who have relocated there in over the past few years. Dallas is definitely a booming city with a growing employment rate. So, needless to say, it’s at the top of my list.

If you could relocate to another city, where would you go?
