EMPTIES: September 2024
I didn’t realize I never posted my September empties, but better late than never. Let’s go!
As you can tell from the photo, I used up a lot of hair products! Let’s start with the Mizani 25 Miracle Milk which is a leave-in conditioner. However, as the states, it’s more than a leave-in. This spray also help from protect from heat and environmental damage. I’m definitely getting this again.
Next up is the Amika Hydro Rush shampoo, which I definitely need to pick up soon. The reason being is this shampoo when combined with the conditioner helped keep my curly hair moisturized and under control. I still have the conditioner left, which is weird. I used to always run out of the conditioner first. However, ever since I learned how to properly wash and condition my hair, I have more conditioner left. I might write a mini post about that one day. I also used up the Amika Curl Corps enhacing gel for curls. An amazing gel that define my gels without making them hard and crunchy. I want and need this gel back in my life.
My skin was acting up with breakouts everywhere! The breakouts were caused by a mixture of hormones and stress. When this happens, I immediately grab tube of PanOxyl. No matter what other products I try for acne, this product never fail to get the job done. However, I learned the best way to use this product is to use it consistently – not when breaking out. So, I use this product every other night, which has definitely helped.
When I got a facial a couple month ago, my esthetician pointed out that some of the extraction she did were ingrown hair. Therefore, she suggested I start using a physical exfoliator at least once a week Luckily, I had this Murad Exfoliating cleanser and it did the job. Plus, this cleanser exfoliates to help the skin absorb and hold moisture. Such great multi-purpose cleanser.
The Rhyme & Reason Quinch & Curl Leave-In conditioner definitely lives up to it’s name. Unfortunately, this conditioner became too heavy for my hair and I had to start diluting it not weigh my hair down. Still, it was great while it lasted and got my hair through some brittle cold weather last year.
One of the first eye cream I ever bought was Origins GinZing Brightening Eye Cream when I was in college many years ago. They have introduced new version, but the OG formula is still so good. Another Murad product I think highly of is their Retinol Youth Renewal serum. My bestie has amazing and uses this as her retinol, which means I had to give it a try. It’s great low dose type of retinol for some one looking to test the retinol/retinoid waters.
Finally, speaking of waters, the REPLICA Beach Walk smells exactly like the name suggest, which helped me little as I didn’t get a beach vacation this year. : (
