I recently realized that I make monthly payments for a handful of digital subscriptions.
Digital subscriptions definitely play one of the biggest parts in how we live our lives and the structure of the “new norm”, including how we work, eat, and even consume entertainment. So, I decided to share a few of my favorite subscriptions that are purely digital, meaning I only access it from a downloaded app or software.
- Netflix – Who doesn’t have (or access to *wink, wink) to a Netflix account? I’ve been with Netflix for years now and I really don’t see myself ever not giving them that $8 a month. Aside from having of some of my favorite movies and complete seasons of my all-time fav TV shows, they also have some of the best original TV shows, including Orange is the New Black and House of Cards, which are amazing. Plus, Fuller House (Full House spin-off) is debuting later this month and Kimmy Schmidt is coming back next month. Can’t wait!
- Adobe Photoshop – When I was in college, I used my student ID to get my first copy of Adobe Photoshop. Even with the discount, it was still very pricey. So, pricey, that I only upgrade ($299 I think) once in 10 year. Expensive software…ugh. Thankfully, Adobe now offers cloud subscriptions that you can pay for monthly or yearly, which also allows you to access your account and projects from various devices, including your phone. I love technology.
- Tidal – There are so many music streaming services out there and most of them have at least a free (ad filled)subscription. However, for me, Tidal is just a better fit. Other than being able to stream music from my favorite artists, they also have exclusive content such as videos, Behind the Scenes footage, and first access to new music. Recently, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Kanye West provided music and videos that was only exclusive to Tidal subscribers.
- Sworkit – I recently was introduced to this fitness app on an episode of Shark Tank. Sworkit was my answer for “I don’t have enough time to workout”. Depending on your needs, Sworkit will create a workout routine based on the time you have to complete and even what areas of the body you want to work on. This app gives you access to real personal trainers with actual video demonstrations of countless different workout routines. The best part for me is that most of these workouts don’t involve the need for any equipment. It’s like having your own personal trainer, on-call, and in your back pocket…literally.
If you have any other digital subscriptions that you pay for, monthly or yearly, please share below.
