Converse just announced the launch of its second sneaker collection with French fashion house, Maison Martin Margiela. The newest Converse Maison Martin Margiela First String collection extends the original evolving white overpaint concept with the Converse All Star Chuck ‘70 and Converse Jack Purcell sneakers in ultra-soft premium leather. The buttery leather transforms the sneakers’ interior and exterior for luxury and comfort, while the collaboration’s pure white hand-painted upper emphasizes the simple beauty and silhouette of the iconic footwear.
“We’re pleased to offer a new expression of such a great collaboration between Converse and the Maison,” says Maison Martin Margiela. “The story of two like-minded brands continues with the evolution of the sneaker collection where personal expression is at the forefront, revealing the expression of vibrant colors shining through an incognito white coat that ages with time.”
The more the Converse Maison Martin Margiela sneakers are worn, the more the overpaint loosens its hold, elegantly cracking to reveal the hidden, bold color. Original heritage colorways from the Converse archives are slowly revealed through four distinct styles: Amber Glow and True Navy with the Converse All Star Chuck ’70 and Azure Blue and Biking Red with the Converse Jack Purcell. The sneaker also features the discreet yet distinguishable Maison Martin Margiela logo on the tongue, and both silhouettes are accented with painted and non-painted lace options.
The Converse Maison Martin Margiela sneaker collection will be available for purchase globally on Friday, May 23 at Converse San Francisco, Santa Monica and Soho stores, Maison Martin Margiela stores, select Converse First String retailers, and www.Converse.com for a suggested retail price of $250 USD.

Just in time for Memorial Day, Converse is releasing their Vintage Flag Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 sneaker that features iconic prints on the classic Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 silhouette. This limited edition, vintage inspired sneaker borrows subtle details from the re-crafted, celebrated Chuck Taylor All Star of the ‘70s, yet modernizes the classic look with a playful twist on the pattern. The all over Star print on the left sneaker and an all over Bars pattern on the right makes this pack a fun alternative to traditional sneaker. The Vintage Flag Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 also includes three interchangeable red, white and blue laces that give you the freedom to customize your look, as well as a vintage license plate and nickel eyelets that add to the classic feel of the Chuck ‘70.
With less than 1,300 pairs produced, this limited edition Vintage Flag Chuck Taylor All Star ‘70 will be available for purchase at inline stores throughout North America and on www.converse.com beginning Friday, May 23 for $90 USD. I want both pairs for summer, especially the Fourth of July! View more images from the shoes in the gallery below.

I actually want them in all colors, even the black and I usually don’t like all black sneakers, but these will do.
Converse launched the Converse UNDFTD x CLOT Chuck Taylor All Star, ushering in a new joint collaboration between Converse and two longstanding First String partners Undefeated and CLOT. The sneaker collection consists of two styles that combine iconic elements from each brand, fusing Undefeated’s military and sport-driven ethos with CLOT’s lens on Eastern and Western urban lifestyle culture.
The Converse UNDFTD x CLOT Chuck Taylor All Star collection focuses on material and design as a source of expression with the use of sateen nylon and orange silk. Sateen nylon is a favorite material from the Undefeated arsenal inspired by the classic MA1 flight jacket. The sneaker is accented with orange outsole detailing and finished off with an orange silk lining developed by CLOT — adding a touch of luxury. Designed with an innovative zip-up lace guard woven into the upper, the sneaker is available in black and olive colorways.
The Converse UNDFTD x CLOT Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers will be available starting Saturday, August 24 at JUICE in Hong Kong and UNDFTD in Las Vegas for $120USD.
