LUST-HAVE LIST: October 2024

Hey you – Happy October! I hope your October has started off a lot smoother than mine, but that’s a rant for another day. We’ve gathered here today to see what items I would love to acquire this month. Despite how the month started for me, I have faith that it’s going to get better moving on!

The Fall vibes have taken over me and my space, but in scents and decor only. I’ve been long overdue to change my wardrobe, because I’m over the oversize tops and leggings combo. Maybe October will be the month that I step it up. However, in the meantime, checkout the items I’m wanting this month!

LUST-HAVE LIST: October 2024

• Olaplex Bonding Curl Gel – I’ve been wearing my hair mostly curly for months now. Olaplex has been good to me in the past, which made super excited to see that they have a bonding curl gel. This definitely at the top of my want list.
• ‘REPLICA’ Afternoon Delight perfume – I’ve been feening to add a new scent to my life and the lates scent from REPLICA sounds right for me. I’ve become a warm vanilla girl and I need to have this on me for fall and winter.
• Cute Fleece Camo Jacket – Initially, I was shopping around for a nylon camo jacket for chilly fall days. However, this fleece camo moment changed my mind, because it looks like a floral print. Also, it being a fleece jacket is the cherry on top.
• Large Olive Green Bucket Bag – I shouldn’t have to explain why I want this next item, because look at it! However, I’ll give you a brief reason – it’s a large olive green bucket bag that give casual chic Fall. Done.
• Teva Commute Moccasins – A hybrid pair of sneakers that look like they can take on a long fall hot girl walk while still being able to get styled? Throw it in the bag immediately

LUST-HAVE LIST: September 2024

This month’s Lust-Have List was almost a week late, which should tell you how my month has started. Still, I won’t let that deter me from ruining my birthday month! Although my birthday isn’t until later this month, I do plan to enjoy it as much as I can. So much so that I even went ahead and brought my box of fall decor from my storage. I pulled everything out the box, but I need to style it.

Speaking of style, I have no idea of what style I want to take on for fall. The issue is that I’ve lost 80 pounds over the last year and not really sure on how to dress this new body while still working losing more and toning. It’s so weird, but I’m trusting the process. Even though I’m not sure of my exact look for fall, this month’s Lust-Have List does include a couple things I want to include. Take a look at the things I’m wanting this month for my birthday month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: September 2024

• Philadelphia Eagles Varsity Jacket – I’m so geeked about it finally being football season! I never was able to get the “princess Diana” Eagles jacket, but this varsity style jacket would make a nice runner up.
• Slingback Buckle Shoes – What I love about these slingbacks is that they are flats with a chic twist.
• Double Creme & Powder Blush – I’ve been dabbling with liquid blush for a minute, especially when topped with a powder. The duo coms with the powder and creme blushes in the shade. I love the shade because it would give me the right look of flushed skin.
• Mini Shopper Bag – My obsession with mini bags continue and mini shopper bags have been my current faves.
• Crystal Bezel Tennis Bracelet – I’ve  been loving the look that my duo dainty gold bracelets has been giving. However, I’ve been wanting to add the look of a diamond tennis bracelet without the price. I think the crystal tennis bracelet will be perfect!

LUST-HAVE LIST: August 2024

Happy August! August is one of those months that I’ve learned to look forward to each year. Aside from it marking the beginning of birthdays almost every other week, it’s also pre-fall! There’s just something about this time of year when you try to squeeze every ounce out of summer. Personally, I’ve been thinking about trying to confirm a last minute mini road trip or late summer beach vacation at the end of this month. All of the possibilities are endless, but I still am getting a little excited for fall.

As for this month, I’m planning to soak up as much summer as I can while preparing for fall. Well, best friend has already planned to break out her fall decor after her birthday (August 9) and she’s excited. Hopefully, I can hold out looking for new fall decor until the end of August. As for now, this month’s  Lust-Have List will show that I’m somewhere in the middle of Summer and Fall.

LUST-HAVE LIST: August 2024

• Rare Beauty Tinted Pressed Powder – I’m very much in my face powders, but I still need a good pressed powder. I’ve been loving the reviews of this powder from Rare Beauty and think will be a perfect finishing powder, too.
• Fifth & Ninth Brynn Cat-Eye Sunglasses – There’s no way you can look at this pair of sunglasses and not gasp a little. Well, I did which made me feel like I need them ASAP and they aren’t as expensive as they look.
• Shiseido Eyelash Curler – This eyelash curler is iconic and a cult favorite! I need a new one and why not go for the best? *shrug*
• Mid-Rise Trouser Shorts – After years of trying to avoid showing my legs, I’ve worn more shorts this summer than I’ve worn in the past 30+ years. I’m not over aggerating. So, I want to keep it going in the fall with these trouser shorts. However, I envision wearing them with opaque tights, when the weather gets cooler.
• Face Lifting Chin Strap -I’ve been obsessed with those women on TikTok that do morning peels of all their sleep contraptions including these chin straps. Apparently, these straps help lift your face while you sleep. However, I also hear that they also help if you grind your teeth and I can’t wait to find out.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2024

I’m just now realizing that I didn’t post my July 2024 Lust-Have List! I’ve been a Bad blogger, but late is better than never. I would love to say the reason for the delay because I was too busy trying to have a hot-girl summer. Unfortunately, I’m trying not to have a Bad Breakdown Summer, which is a work in progress.

I thought I was going to be trying to take a bunch of mini vacations and road trips. Instead of of a bunch of trips, I will be looking through a bunch of potential hires. So, my vacations have been pushed back to Fall. However, I’m not complaining – just as long as they happen.

Although my summer isn’t going as planned, that doesn’t mean I’m still not trying to catch some vibes and looks.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2024

• Mini Drift Tote – I’ve been lusting after this the big version of this tote for awhile. However, when I saw they introduced a mini version and in cherry red, this has been all I want. Plus, ya’ll know I love a cute mini bag.
• Linen Short Set – After decades of being insecure about my legs, I’ve been trying live in nothing but shorts this summer. Loving this linen short set pieces from Old Navy -pieces are sold separately. However, they are affordable and versatile.
• Milky Skin Toner – My go-to type of toner has been hydrating toners over the last fewer years. Thankfully, more brands are starting to release their own versions, including The Ordinary. I’m excited to try this one next, because I love The Ordinary skincare products.
• Chunky Two-Part Sandals – I rarely want a pair of chunky sole sandals, because I don’t trust my ankles all the time. However, this pair I spotted at ASOS aren’t too intimidating.
• Lychee Rose Eau de Parfum – I got a whiff of this recently and it’s been bookmarked in my brain under “Fruity, soft floral” notes. I think this would make a great scent to transition from summer to fall.

LUST-HAVE LIST: June 2024

June might become one of my favorite months because it officially welcomes Summer on June 20th. I’m usually not hyped for summer, because I don’t like being hot. However, I spent a lot of time outside last summer and enjoyed it. Therefore, I want to see what I can enjoy it again. lol We shall see! June also begins the list of birthdays of my loved ones – my childhood bestie (10th) and oldest nephew (16th) kick it off.

As I think about it, maybe I’m not ready. I think I will be after a couple trips to the pool. As of this moment, I don’t have any plans for a summer vacation, yet. Of course, things may change and that’s a little exciting.

To be honest, I’m really craving a lazy summer of going with the flow and hopefully a nice tan and muscles. An easy, lazy summer sounds perfect and I think all the items in this month’s Lust-Have List reflect the vibe I’m aiming to have.

LUST-HAVE LIST: June 2024

• Mini Raffia Bucket Bag – I think a raffia bag is the perfect nude bag for summer. Personally, I’m obsessed with this mini raffia bag, because it’s so chic.
• Overtone in Ginger duo – I want to add more pop to my dark copper hair without lightening it. I tried the sample size of this coloring conditioner and the results were good. It  was a small amount, but I want to try the duo to see will it give me what I envision.
• Linen Pullover shirt – I live for a good pullover linen shirt for the summer and this one from H&M looks perfect for work or play.
• PHLUR Missing Person – Last year, I got a sample of this perfume but decided on another scent. The scent has lingered in my heart ever since and got body spray that smells just like it. So, now I feel like I need the perfume even more now.
• Flat Hoop Earrings – I’m getting into my slick hair bun era and these flat hoops will compliment it so well!
