Today is the last day for the Sephora VIB Sale, which I hit up last week.
Keep reading to see what items I bought and why. Also, there are a couple of items in my cart that I’m still pondering if I should go ahead and buy before I got sleep.
Today, the highly anticipated movie Divergent is hits theaters and the promotion has been pretty crazy. One promotional element that slide past my radar are the Divergent make-up collection kits exclusively for Sephora.
There are 3 kits in all:
Divergent Cosmetics Divergent Multi-Piece Collector’s Palette, $32.50 – Portable but impactful, this limited-edition palette contains everything you need to do your make up on the go.
Are you planning to see Divergent or at least cop one of these kits?

One of the things I’ve been embracing more of is no-make-up days. Yes, bad skin prone/ make-up addicted me has been daringly going out in public without a drop of make-up. Well, maybe a few swipes of mascara, but that’s almost a daily necessity as brushing my teeth.
Anyway, the only times I feel super confident to go out bare face is when I feel and know that my skin has been properly cleansed, toned, moisturized, and treated (if need). Pretty much, detoxed to the fullest. So, I got instantly anxious to whip out my card and order this Skin Cleanse Volume 2 (There’s a Volume 1?) from Sephora.
This sample collection includes nine of Sephora’s best products for you to get fresh, clean, and perfect skin and includes exfoliators, masks, mattifier, peels, cleanser, eye gel, BB cream, and pore refiner. Everything, plus it’s only $45.

Halloween is pretty much the doormat to the holiday season. Now, we are entering into November for Thanksgiving and then Christmas will be right around the corner, because December tends to run up to you real quick with a sucker punch.
This month, I’m starting to gravitate more black fashion pieces rather than brown and you will be able to see it in this month’s LHL. Plus, now that the sweaty summer is over, I’m starting to take some extra time in the morning to do my makeup instead of just some undereye concealer, mascara, and powder. So, I’m starting to visit makeup counters more frequently and test drive new products. Also, I need some new make-up brushes, because mine are starting to shed. Ugh.
Not to mention, but I’ve been feeling a little nostalgia toward my junior high days of being obsessed with Memphis rap and bucket bag purses.
So, here are the things I’m lusting for this month!

According to the description and testimonial/reviews on Sephora.com, I should be obsessing and scraping together my coins to try and buy Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Mattifying Oil Free Foundation (Nice and wordy).
Apparently, this foundation absorbs oil, camouflages imperfections, and rounds things off with a long-lasting, velvet-matte finish. Also, its amazing for those of us with oily and acne-prone skin. Immaculate.
Next time I find myself in the mall and the cool and clean look of Sephora is luring me in, I think I’m going to check this out.
