LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2023

Happy July! July officially marks the second half of the year and I’m not ready! However, I think I’ll be ready after my vacation next month.

Speaking of my vacation, I’ve barely spent a dime on anything I’m taking with me. I’ve bought sunscreen and a couple of pair of shorts – that’s all. However, I think I finally know which beach bag I’m getting. Other than that, I’m pretty mcuh just going to wing it, because I’m planning to just wear shorts, oversized t-shirts and dressed over my bathing suit.

I will admit that I will probably buy another swimsuit and going to step out my one-piece comfort zone. I included the top contender in this Lust- Have List. Peep the details below.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2023

• Fur Oil – During my latesty dermplane session, my esthetician recommended I try this oil to help with ingrown hairs on my chin.
• Brown swimwear set – I think I want to dip my curvy body in a 2-piece bath suit on my upcoming vacation. All pieces are sold seperately.
• Ribbed Curvy Leggings – I bought a pair of these leggings in green, becaus they were on clearance. However, I love way this feel on and they compress really good. So, I obvioulsy need them in black.
• Gold Mini Bag – Mini gold bags are my favorite. I actually think I should collect them and this one will be in the collection.
• Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue perfume – My mom had this scent when I was in college and I thought it was okay. However, I smelled it back in December and it immediately smelled like the perfect for summer. Its light and clean I’m getting it!

LUST-HAVE LIST: June 2023

Happy June! Honestly, I feel bad that I only posted a couple of times last month. However, work was working me, which was also not  leaving me room to feel creative. It was definitely weird to not post, but I definitely needed to focus on work and me. No regrets.

Well, it’s technically not summer, but Memorial Day weekend is usually the kick off. I’ve already started to plan a beach vacation for late summer and that’s been a task in itself. Planning and saving is the most adulting thing you have to do at times. Still, it’s for a beach vacation and it’s the motivation I need right now.

LUST-HAVE LIST: June 2023

• Clear Link Slide Sandals – I have a beach vacation planned for August and these slides will perfect for shorts and dresses.
• Little Mermaid SPF 30 Black Girl Sunscreen – I’m a Black Girl Sunscreen and buy it all the time. However, I have to get this limited edition Little Mermaid tube, because I’m a sucker for packing and The Little Mermaid.
• Flared leg blue jeans – I’v been looking for a pair of not too wide leg flared jeans with some distressment at the knees. I can’t the right pair and fit, which means I will be making them. This pair from ASOS has the perfect rinse, shape, and rise. I will just do the distressing myself. 🙂
• Lume Cream Deodorant – My BFF has been raving about Lume for a minute and I’m finally ready to give it a try. I’m intrigued, because it’s an all over deodorant and I’ve heard great reviews.
• FENTY Match Stick Cheek and Lip Stick – I’m one of the late bird to the FENTY party, but I’ve been loving the products that I’ve tried. Also, I love cheek + lips products and this one universally flatters every complexion. Science.  So, I’m thinking about picking this up on my next Sephora trip.
• CZ Tennis Bracelets Set – For the past few months, I’ve been thinking about investing in a diamond tennis bracelet. However, I want to test the look put with a CZ version first. This one comes in a set with an adjustable one and for under $20. l love a good deal!

LUST-HAVE LIST: April 2023

It’s April, which is the first month of the second quarter of the year. Personally, I find that planning and assessing my life yearly quarters has been helping me. Also, the beginning of each quarter is near the beginning of a season. Spring officially started less than 2 weeks ago. Earlier this year, I decided that Spring is when I will start planning my goals for this year. I definitely enjoyed forgoing the traditional new year’s resolution and what for the season of growth to plan my year. So far, so good!

Although I’m ready for the spring fun, I’m first putting focus on my overall health. I’m back to mindful eating and dedicated daily moving. However, I’m trying to work on being more consistent with my goals. Actually, there is an item in this month’s Lust-Have List that may help with this. Please out the items that I have my eye on this month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: April 2023

• Vans x Wyland Kracken sneakers – I’ve been meaning to get a new pair of classic Vans, but I would also like to get thes limited edition slip-ons.
• The Mint Textured Hair Tool – This hair tool was created to help women with texture help dry, style and the shrinkage of their hair.
• Glow Recipe BHA Pore-Smoothing Blur Drops – Last month, every influencer was posting about this serum, but I still want to try it. lol
• Glossier You Rollerball – Sephora now carries some Glossier products, including their You scent. I sampled in-store and it smelled so good on me. However, I want to try the rollerball version before buying the full size bottle.
• The Myth of Normal book – I’m trying to start reading more and this book is currently waiting for my next Amazon purchase. It’s about understanding your mental well-being and overall health.

Happy Friday and first Friday of March! Hopefully, this new month has started off great for you, even though it’s only the 3rd day.

Although my concept of days and time is getting better; the weather has refused to stay consistent. I’m really over this spring weather one day and winter the next. I’m ready for pedicure toes and flip flops season. However, I know it’s almost here since spring officially starts in less than 3 weeks and ready. I’ve already started pinning spring wardrobe inspirations. Since I’m still trying to stay more frugal, I’ve started to look for transitional spring pieces in my own closet. Unfortunately, it looks like I will still need to do a little shopping sooner than later, which my recent 12% raise will help.

For the last couple of weeks, I was getting back into doing my makeup and not just powder and mascara. Unfortunately, my skin was not letting me great and I had to refocus on my skincare again. My skin has been looking a little dry and congested, which I realized was a sign of dehydration. So, I went ahead and ordered a bottle of my favorite hydrating toners ever by Laniege. I haven’t bought or used it in a few months, because I was trying to use up another toner I bought to try. However, I couldn’t deprive my skin anymore, because it has been looking trashed! Give me a week and my skin will be looking smooth and hydrated in no time.

The weather forcast is looking quite soggy here in Memphis, which means I’ll be inside. Actually, I’ve found myself spending more time at home on the weekends and it’s been nice. Take it, I’m usually just catching up on shows and doing my nails, but it’s been enjoyable. Being able to spend time with yourself and enjoy is a gift that I wish everyone could be able to do.
