One of my fav networks to lounge around and watch non-stop, Style Network, is premiering a new show tomorrow called What I Hate About Me. When I first heard the title, all I thought was it was going to showcase various low self-esteem, borderline depressed, and overall pathetic women just listing hundreds of things that they hate about themselves. After the self-induced waterworks, there would be therapists to analyze why they felt that way and how not feel that way and then in the end the women would be cured and proclaim that they loved themselves to a round of applause and pats on the back.
Thankfully, this show is not quite like that. What I Hate About Me has real women admit their real flaws that bother them and introduce some style and beauty experts that share tricks and tips to help them get rid of those pesky dislikes. The dislikes range from everything from removing that diabolical moustache hair that some of us women grow all the way to creating a lovely living space in place of the boring and bland one that irks you.
Simply put, if you are looking for a self-help show that’s low on the intense psych 101 talk and more on the fun way to deal and eliminate the imperfections that bother you and most women, then I suggest you catch Style’s new show What I Hate About Me when it premieres tomorrow night 9/8c!
I love Jessica Szohr! See’s definitely a nice calmness to the dram filled Gossip Girl. Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to get into GG this season. So, I will start playing catch-up in the next couple of weeks. Shh, don’t spoil it for me!
However, in the meantime, check out Miss Szohr on the February cover of Teen Vogue. The issue hits stands on January 9th.
For lunch today, we should all pull ourselves a chair to the nearest screen and gawk and fawn over W magazine’s fashion spread. The spread was shot by photographer Craig McDean and features over 70 looks by 50 designers. Yummy! This is going to fill me up more than my frozen dinner I brought for lunch!
Here’s the link to get your gaze on! Happy lunching!
I love when some of my favorite fashion lines launch e-commerce sites, because I get to avoid scrounging around various sites trying to find a certain item from a specific designers’ collection. Personally, I like to go straight to the source and eliminate the middle man!
The latest line that has launched an e-commerce site is alice + olivia, which I swoon hardcore over! However, this e-commerce site is not your usual online shopping experience of grabbing what you want and bouncing. No, no! At alice + oliva’s site, you can get a behind the scenes look at the designing process of designer and founder, Stacey Bendet. Also, you can get more personal with the brand and the people behind it thanks in part to their blog and Twitter accounts that will keep you up to date with new collections, dates, and all the alice + olivia news you need to know!
Just this morning as I was getting ready to battle another day of coming to the office, I was watching last night’s season finale of The City and began to wonder when Kelly Cutrone’s reality show was going to premiere. I loved the way she handles Roxy last night and didn’t care who heard! ha.
Anyway, I was glad to open my inbox this morning and see that her show “Kell on Earth”, which I’m loving the name, is going to premiere on February 1st on Bravo. The show will feature Kelly and her People’s Revolution partners and assistant has she gives us a glimpse into her no holds barred life of behind the scenes of fashion.
That damn Bravo! is is slowly, but surely after my heart with The Real Housewives, Rachel Zoe, and now Kelly Cutrone! Why do I need any other stations?! Bravo, Bravo! I’ll be watching!
