I do, I really do! A couple years ago(whenever Gossip Girl premiered), when preppy was the way to look, I had a gaggle of cardigans in various colors and styles. However, I just took a cardigan inventory in my closet this weekend and was shocked to find I only had 3 cardigans (a black, white, and light teal one with antique lace trim and pearl buttons). How the hell did that happen and why isn’t Old Navy offering their cardigans for $5 this week, because their Christmas sales have been rocking my frugalista-esque mind!
Anyway, like usual when I notice I’m low on something, I start to look and conquer more. So, needless to say, I spent most of my online time this weekend looking for more cardigans. One that really caught my eye was this Marc by Marc Jacobs Maxine Sweater. Isn’t adorable with its plaid ruffle around the waist and chic rib action. I will admit that my waist and I laughed at the thought of me adding a plaid ruffle around my already holiday expanding waist, but still…isn’t it adorable!
I’m about 95% done with my Christmas shopping.*pats self on the back* I just need to find a couple of things for my mom that will knock her socks off. I have an idea, I just need to put it motion. Pronto.
Although I’m almost through scratching people off my list shopping list, my personal wish list is getting longing and I just added these Dolce Vita Watson booties.
I know, I know, there are plenty of knock offs and variations of this booties clomping around the fashionphere, but my mind, body, soul and closet want these! Unfortuantely, they are out in my size at 80s Purple. So, I’m going to embark on mid-day online hunt for a pair of these Watson booties in a 9. Wish me luck!
Last week, I told you all about how Piperlime asked 4 fashionable celebs to pick out their holidays wants and items to give. Last week, Brooke Shield selected plenty of jackets and boots.
Well, this week Rashida Jones (Parks and Recreations and The Office) selected her gift items. Personally, I love Rashida’s style of mixing feminine details with masculine undertones, but in cali girl way!
Rashida picks of chunky bold jewelry and sequined tops and accessories actually surprised me, but I loved them! I really love this Tuleste Market layered ball and chain necklace. Love. it.

Really, the title says it all for me! Tuesday, when I arrived to work, I found a nice little package that contained some baubles from Jill Jacobson that made the rain I had to trek through to get to work and the soggy wet clothes on me just completely slip my mind. In the envelope was a beautiful crafted silver bangle with floral and pearl detail, a big oval black onyx ring trimmed with crystals that fits any size finger, and my new favorite earrings; filigree in hoops earrings. I love them so!
I don’t know what it is about an incredible piece of jewelry that can instantly transform your mood. The prettier the jewelry the prettier I feel and believe me I felt like a Disney princess at the end of a movie, you know after they kissed the prince, fit the shoe, etc., when I placed those dangling earrings on my ears.
I was wondering what was going to be my go-to earring this holiday season and I think I have found it in Jill Jacobson’s filigree in hoop earrings!
*squeal* I seriously can’t stop gushing and giggling over these earrings! They are so much prettier in person and I have gotten a ton of compliments and inquiries about them in the last couple of days. This is my third day wearing them and definitely not the last
I love when some of my favorite fashion lines launch e-commerce sites, because I get to avoid scrounging around various sites trying to find a certain item from a specific designers’ collection. Personally, I like to go straight to the source and eliminate the middle man!
The latest line that has launched an e-commerce site is alice + olivia, which I swoon hardcore over! However, this e-commerce site is not your usual online shopping experience of grabbing what you want and bouncing. No, no! At alice + oliva’s site, you can get a behind the scenes look at the designing process of designer and founder, Stacey Bendet. Also, you can get more personal with the brand and the people behind it thanks in part to their blog and Twitter accounts that will keep you up to date with new collections, dates, and all the alice + olivia news you need to know!
So, go checkout alice + olivia online!
