Make-Up Monday…Clinique Limited Edition Pink Chubby Stick

Today is October 1st, which means it’s the kick-off off to National Breast Cancer Awareness month. As a woman, breast cancer is near and dear to my heart and I’m find myself buying  a plethora of pink products throughout the month of October where the proceeds go to breast cancer research and/or awareness.

Every year, Clinique produces a special bottle of their fan favorite moisturizer that comes with the Clinique signature key chain and a Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon Charm, which they did again this year. However, this year they have also released a limited edition version of another fan fav, their pink Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. I love the Chubby Stick! It gives you buildable color and moisturized lips. Yay! Plus, $3 from every sale of the limited Plumped Up Pink Chubby Stick goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Inspired by Chevy Malibu Style

When it comes to car, a lot of people look at the outside, but I seem to focus more on the inside. Case in point, Chevy’s new Malibu 2013. A little sidenote, I received a 2004 Chevy Malibu for my college graduation that my little sister drives now and it’s still going strong. Anyway, the interior is sleek, clean, and sophisticated. Chic and appealing. So, I created a Pinterest board inspired by the new Chevy Malibu. Click here to view my Malibu Inspired board.

The images I pinned were images I thought reflected the interior, such as clean make-up, leather outfits, and sleek boots.   Smart technology, impressive styling, a luxurious interior and confident handling all come together in the all-new 2013 @Chevrolet #Malibu to take your drive to the next level. Discover  #MalibuStyle.

Whateva, it’s Saturday….Pullover Hoodies

Its getting cooler and I’m getting older and have myself wanting to lounge around all day on Saturday. Unfortunately, I’ve been finding myself  having to run around and take care of things that I really wish I didn’t have to do. The perils of being and independent adult going through a headache of stress and regretting this whole “growing up” stage.

Anyway, I’ve decided that I’m going to follow suit with countless others and assign myself the “hoodie, leggings, tank and/or tee, and flip flop then eventually Uggs” weekend uniform! Yay!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any hoodies. Unbelievable to some, but not me. I was never a hoodie fan, but that changed when I started wearing my ex-BFs hoodie last winter and it was probably the most comfortable place on earth. Amazing. However, when I packed his bags and sent him on his way, that hoodie was in one of those white trashbags I packed for him. I’m an amazing ex-GF, huh? Anyway, now that it’s getting chillier and me getting slightly lazier, I now need to buy me a hoodie. So here are some cute hoodies that I’m pondering.

Fragrance Friday…Prada Candy

Obsessed. I smelt this perfume this past weekend and ever since, I’ve been obsessed. I’ve almost gotten to the point that, although I’m in a little and temporary financial bind, I’m still thinking about splurging on it as late B-Day gift to myself. Oh, did I forget to mention that yesterday was my 31st birthday? After you hit 30, the rest are pretty much just any other day. Anyway, back to this fabulous and sweet fragrance that is Prada Candy.

Prada Candy is outside my usual love of soft and clean scents. It’s a blend of musk, vanilla, and caramel (yes, caramel), which forms a sophisticated, sensual, and alluring scent. Ugh, just typing this makes me want it even more. In typical fabulous and posh Prada fashion, it’s not the most inexpensive perfume, because it starts at around $80. Still….I want it.

Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Flats

I’m not going to lie to you, because I love ya’ll, but Jeffrey Campbell Lita boots have begun to irk me. Once, I thought they were fab, but then they were everywhere and on everyone and in every shade and every print and every knockoff followed suit. Dead.

Actually, a lot of Jeffrey Campbell recent shoes are “too extra” in terms of the tall platforms and funky heels and different design elements such as spikes, fur, and bright colors. So, I haven’t really been checking for Jeffrey Campbell much and have instead opted to sit back and watch the parade.

However, I still can’t lie, I’m loving and lusting for his new flats, the Margo spiked flats. Pretty amazing. A simple flat with a spiked toe and I do mean spiked. I feel for the person that pisses someone off while wearing these and that person opts to kick them instead of punching. Shin splits…for real!

Anyway, the story behind them is pretty great. The shoe was designed and named after a ballerina, Margo Gignac, who was left quadriplegic after a car wreck involving a drunken driver and 100% of the profits are going to the HelpHOPLive organization to help support Margo.

A great story, cause, and fabulous shoe to boot. Can’t get no better than that! The shoe is available in red, black, pink, and tan, which the latter two havin the silver spikes instead of gold like the other two and are available at tiltedshoes.com
