Banana Republic Summer 2011

It’s hot. I mean, here in Memphis, the weather has been in the 90s WAY before summer officially started. Don’t  get me started on the mugginess that has wiped plenty of cute hairstyles from my head and forced me to replace them with haphazard looking frizzy ponytails.

Anyway, I in dress mode, because they are comfortable and easy, but you still look ” put together.”

The dresses in Banana Republic’s Summer 2011 collection are pretty perfect. They have a nice mixture of colorful and bold prints and clean and primp dresses that are perfect for work. Not to mention, they have amazing accessories to compliment their collections.

I have a long overdue shopping excursion planned with my sister on Friday, after work, and Banana Republic just made it on our to-do list.

Forever 21 x WWF

I love companies or fashion lines create items to help raise money and awareness for worth while organizations. Forever 21 has recently released a line of graphic tees and tanks that feature adorable wildlife pictures.

For a limited time, Forever 21 will donate $1 to World Wildlife Federation with each purchase of a one of these tops.

So, go check them out. I have a fancy for the white tiger tee and panda tee.

The A Line Dress

A-line dresses are a staple wardrobe piece when it comes to fuller figures so make sure you have one at least one that you can rely on for special occasions. The reason for this is that they flatter all shapes and sizes, but are particularly good if you have a plus size figure. A-line dresses tend to be narrower at the top and gradually flare out towards the bottom. This is an age-old way of disguising fuller figures or simple bottom-heavy shapes.

The good thing is that A-line dresses come in a variety of styles, so you can pick one up in the form of a summer dress, a work wear dress or even a wedding dress; it’s probably the most popular bridal style there has ever been.

Lots of plus size ladies admit to hiding behind the same old safe clothing day in day out; baggy t-shirts and comfy trousers, usually that hide their figure rather than embrace it. The A-line dress is a great way to add a touch of femininity to your wardrobe and will also create the look of a smaller waist, so you can make the most of your curves.

There are a whole host of A-line dresses (along with a number of other styles) available at plus size specialists Onestopplus.co.uk. We celebrate this site because of their huge range of colours and styles and the fact that plus size women now have somewhere to go for clothing rather than feeling like the fashion world is designed only for size zero women.

Our favourite plus size dress types are not too short, not too revealing, not too clingy and Onestopplus.co.uk provides all of these things. They have everything from strappy, to strapless to halter neck so there are options available for those that do and those that don’t want to show off their arms or chest.

Oh, Sophia

Probably, hands down, Gucci is my favorite all around favorite fashion house, because I love their clothes, handbags, accessories, and shoes. I’ve yet to lay my eyes on a Gucci collection that I didn’t lust after instantly.

I’m loving their Sofia Peep Toe Pumps. I love the hidden platform, clean lines, and the color is the perfect brown to carry you all year. Great staple brown pump.
