Flashback.

These Opening Ceremony booties remind of a pair of boots my mom bought me when I was in the 3rd grade that had the same faux sock color attached. Of course, they were flats and super inexpensive, but I loved to wear them with stirrup (Oh, the 80s). Anyway, when I saw these boots, I couldn’t help, but to want them and wear them with a pair of stirrup leggings.

Also, they come in cream with a brown attached socks that had me browsing the classifieds ads for a second job to pay for them!

Lust-Have List: December 2010

I can’t exhale and sigh enough, because I’m just overwhelmed with getting ready for Christmas and working to pay for it. *Sigh* Anyway, that explains why this list is a few days late. Still, here is my list things I’m lusting for this month.

  • A. Knitted Beanie with Braided Tassels, $8.80, Forever 21 – I’ve been wanting to venture into wearing one of these hats without feeling so out of place or too old to be wearing it. They are so cute, including this one from Forever 21.
  • B. Positively Moxie Black Sequin Handbag by Melie Bianco, $81, Lulus.com – An all sequin bag that’s big enough to wear everyday? Usually not my style, but it being black could make it work. Plus, it could work for days of holiday office Christmas parties.
  • C. Decree Juniors Ruffle Peacoat, $59.95, JCP.com – I love anytime I see a peacoat that has a subtle flirty detail like a ruffle, but not taking away from the classic feel of a peacoat. So, these peacoat by Decree is so cute. It’s available in mustard, charcoal, and purple, but the olive green fits looks chicer.
  • D. Watchbox, $118, Fossil – I love the leather box and pillow that came with my Michael Kors watch and I’ve been looking for a nice way to keep my other watches. So, this watchbox from Fossil would be nice, because it comes with additional watch pillows and storage. I think I need this more than want.
  • E. 6×6 by No. 6 Patent Lace-Up Boots, $98, Urban Outfitters – I hope these are still available after Christmas, because if so, consider these mine! Paired with leggings or skinny jeans, these are a definite need!
  • F. Alexis Bittar ‘Midnight Garden” Lucite Ring, $150, Nordstrom – This ring looks so much better in person. Actually, in the right light, it looks like a huge ice cube melting on your finger. Sounds amazing, right? Also, it looks perfect for any winter look, day or night!

I’m looking younger?

For the past couple of months, I’ve been getting shocked looks from people when I tell them that I’m 29. They always seem to reply back with some variation of “I thought you were younger!” I’m not sure how I feel about this, because I’ve never been one to obsess over age or looking younger. All I’ve wanted was to look my age and/or not too much older.

However, I will admit that hearing I look in my early 20s doesn’t hurt either. I think I can attest all the compliments to my latest obsession with anti aging skincare products and moisturizing.

Since the weather is getting colder, my skin is getting drier. So, I’ve been breaking out the heavy moisturizers and I would love to try this Shea Butter Face cream from L’Occitane, plus you all know how much I love shea butter products. I was browsing around their website looking for some Christmas gifts for my boss (She swoons their hand creams) and saw this face cream and couldn’t help adding to the cart for myself. Look for an update soon!

A Weekend of Sandals and Lights

What am I doing this weekend? Packing up all my sandals and flip flops, because its starting to consistently feel like fall and winter outside. Finally! There were a few warm days last week, but all this week the weather has been cool and chilly. So, this weekend, I’m breaking out the Christmas decorations (Yeah, I’m putting up my decorations up this weekend. Keep your comments to yourself. LOL) and packing up the all  my strappy shoes and neon colored kicks

Although I will miss my array of colorful and easy to slide on flip flops and select few of colorful Keds I collected this summer, I’m really excited to break out my comfy Uggs and fUggs (fake Uggs)!

I always get giddy this time of year!
