U.S. designer and fashion pioneer Steven Alan has joined forces with the classic American shoe brand, Dr. Scholl’s Shoes, for a limited edition collaboration collection.

The collaborative collection, which was contrived over dinner, combines limited edition footwear that is both classic yet modern and fresh. The collab consists of two women’s styles and a men’s style available in two colors ways. Each style for both women and men are a contemporary take on the iconic Dr. Scholl’s Shoes wooden exercise sandal.

The collection is currently available at Steve Alan stores and website.

Scholl Know What To Say….

Eh…lame header. However, don’t let that take away from the giddy and flooding flashbacks that some of you are having after seeing these sandals.

Good ol’ Dr. Scholl. That name is synonymous to feet as much as socks and shoes. However, not too many people know and/or remember that Dr. Scholl is responsible for one of the most iconic and classic pair of sandals ever; the ‘Original’ sandal.

Here’s a quick little “cliff note” about these sandals. Dr. Scholl, himself, designed this sandal in the late 1960s with a raised toe and contoured sole to help compliment the design of the foot and encourage the natural gripping and flexing while walking. That man….what a genius.

So, not only are these iconic beauts chic, but also good for your feet. I haven’t seen a pair in a quick minute, but as soon as I found out that Nordstrom is carrying them, I wanted a pair instantly.
