I spent this past weekend attempting to get my life together and prepared for 2018. I did some deep cleaning, light organize, and had an abundant amount of self-care. One of the self-care things I did was engulf myself in reading articles and books related to some of my goals for 2018. Reading is a great way to help clear your mind of mental fluff and get your priorities in check. So, I’ve gathered a list of books to read to help you flourish in 2018.
If your interested in some awesome and aspiring reads to get you together this year, keep reading for my suggestions.
Personally, I think 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene should be a book that everyone reads and re-read it every year. It’s a chopped full with a lot of inspiring and motivation information to keep you progressing throughout the year.
One of the best books I read last year, Jen Sincero’s You Are A Badass. It was blunt, motivational, and I recommended it to everyone I know. Last summer, she released the follow-up, You Are A Badass at Making Money, which I added to my summer reading list. I just finished this book a couple of weeks ago, but I already plan to read it again. Written in the same tones as it’s predecessor, this book is full of advice on making and saving money.
A Tribe of Mentors by Tim Ferris is filled advice and resources from over 140 of the top performers in various careers. I’ve already got some insight into reaching some of my goals after skimming this book. Since this book is broken down into small pockets of advice, it’s a great life resource book.
If one of your goals for this year is to be more organized, then The Life-Changing magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo is right for you. Another great reference book to pull out in preparation for decluttering your home and spaces.
The Get Your Sh*t Together book is another book that snatches you right together and kicks you into action. Actually, I plan to pour myself into this book this month. This book will rid me of those unhealthy moments when I’m laying on the sofa doing nothing.
