Happy July! July officially marks the second half of the year and I’m not ready! However, I think I’ll be ready after my vacation next month.

Speaking of my vacation, I’ve barely spent a dime on anything I’m taking with me. I’ve bought sunscreen and a couple of pair of shorts – that’s all. However, I think I finally know which beach bag I’m getting. Other than that, I’m pretty mcuh just going to wing it, because I’m planning to just wear shorts, oversized t-shirts and dressed over my bathing suit.

I will admit that I will probably buy another swimsuit and going to step out my one-piece comfort zone. I included the top contender in this Lust- Have List. Peep the details below.

LUST-HAVE LIST: July 2023

  • Fur Oil – During my latesty dermplane session, my esthetician recommended I try this oil to help with ingrown hairs on my chin.
  • Brown swimwear set – I think I want to dip my curvy body in a 2-piece bath suit on my upcoming vacation. All pieces are sold seperately.
  • Ribbed Curvy Leggings – I bought a pair of these leggings in green, becaus they were on clearance. However, I love way this feel on and they compress really good. So, I obvioulsy need them in black.
  • Gold Mini Bag – Mini gold bags are my favorite. I actually think I should collect them and this one will be in the collection.
  • Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue perfume – My mom had this scent when I was in college and I thought it was okay. However, I smelled it back in December and it immediately smelled like the perfect for summer. Its light and clean I’m getting it!

Happy Friday and last day of June! It’ s wild to think that this year is half way over, but this current heat wave we’re experiencing has me craving fall and winter. Sweating has never been my thing.

Aside from dealing with this heat wave, I’m am also on baby watch! MY BFF is very pregnant with her second baby girl can be here anyday. Well, we all want her to hurry, because my friend is tired and this Memphis heat is not letting up. We all though this bbay was going to come early like her first one. However, this one is giving I’m coming out on my due date if not later vibes. 😏

I know that some of you were smart enough to take Monday so that you can have a 4-day weekend. Cheer to you! I’m ready for all the grilled foods that this holiday brings. Another thing that this holiday brings is me cutting meat from my diet for a couple of weeks afterwards. My body needs that detox after the 4th, every year.

For the past couple of months, I’ve been feeling very stressed and overwhelmed, which fall under the umbrella of adulting.

So, I’ve recently been making adjusts to my after work schedule to help combat these issues. I’ve been categorizing it as being more mindful. I would love to just lounge on my sofa until it gets dark enough for me to head to bed;  it’s not helpful. So, I’ve been making small, but impact changes to my after work reset to help me destress after work.

Happy Friday! It’s not officially summer, but the weather has definitely been feeling like it’s here. I’m not complaing, because it’s actually encouraging me to finally devote the time to create my summer wardrobe. I’m leaning toward and elevated everyday casual feminine look. Not sure how that’ going to look, but I’m starting to pin looks.

My plans for this weekend includes attending my best friend’s baby shower, which is so exciting. I didn’t get to go to her last one, because her daugter decide to come on the day of the shower. What an insane day was, but this one seems like it’s going the chill. The theme is  “groovy baby” which is all the 70s retro vibes. So, me and curly fro will be in theme. 🙂 Unfortunately, I feel like the baby shower is going to take all my energy for the weekend. So, I’m probably going to lay for the rest of the weekend after that.
