LINK-END ROUND-UP: December 09, 2022 | STAINED COUTURE

Hey, ya’ll! I didn’t realize that it’s a been a couple of weeks since I posted a Link-End Round-Up. My bad, friend. Last week, I had a dentist appointment had me in pain for over a week now. I had one tooth filled and another one pulled, but those weren’t the causes of the pain. The dentist attempted to pull one of my wisdom teeth, but it started to break apart as he pulled. Apparently, I have good bone density and that tooth would not budge. So, now I have to find a dental surgeon to get the rest of the tooth out. Thankfully, with the help of 800mg of Ibuprophen, the pain has finally let up.

Now that that has passed, it’s time to move to the stress of holiday shopping. Although I have made a few purchases, I still have a few more that I need to find a buy. I have a feeling that the last few items on my list will be easy to find and for a discount. Unless it’s a hot item or limited release, I tend to wait until the last couple of weeks before Christmas to wrap up my shopping. The deals are way better, because it’s the last final puch for retailers to move inventory. Doing this helps them to also make room to start stocking Spring inventory, FYI.

Honestly, this is the last weekend I will have this year that I can rest and relax before the holiday rush. I finally watched my first Christmas movie and will start binging more this weekend to really push me over the edge of the holiday spirit. The calm before the storm, but I’m already planning to start going on daily walks to combat the upcoming stress. I’ve been wanting to start going on daily walks for the past few weeks, but I ran across an article that helps people to start walking more or again. I shared the article below, of course.

I hope that you have a great weekend and try to be mindful of your holiday spending. Remember; not all deals are deals. Please check out the articles in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

STAINED COUTURE HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDES 2022

I don’t know about you, but men are the hardest people I have to shop for each year. Unless they tell me what they want, I draw a blank. However, I’ve gotten a little better over the years and can narrow a down a couple of options for most men. So, I decide to start this year’s gift guides with the fellas this year, but some of these gifts are very universally pleasing, in my opinion. Keep reading to see if you see some options for people on your list.

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2022

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2022

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2022 | STAINED COUTURE

Happy Holidays! It’s the last month of 2022 and I’m ready to wrap it up! LOL Nothing bad or detrimental has happened this year, but I just love the fresh start of a new year.

As for this month, I’m actually feeling a little more festive this year than past years. I even put my tree up this past weekend and planning to buy some decorations this weekend. As usual, this month’s Lust-Have List is basically my Christmas wishlist and I’m going to try to get them all. Yes, even if I have to dig in my wallet, too.

Keep reading to see the items that I’m wanting this month and year for Christmas!

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2022

  • Black & Decker Cordless Handheld Vacuum – One Consumer Reports top rated handheld vacuums. Asking for a cordless vacuum for Christmas is peak adulting, but this is a need. This is the only gift that I asked my sister and brother in-law to get me this year. So, I feel confident I will be vacuuming with this beauty in 2023.
  • REPLICA By The Fireplace perfume – I recently treated myself to the Sephora Perfume sampler set, which features samples of their top seller perfumes. It also comes with a certificate so that you can get a full size of any of the scents. This scent by REPLICA was in there, but I opted for different scent. However, this is the perfect warm vanilla perfume and I want it so bad.
  • Rice Dispenser – This is definitely a “TikTok made me want it” item. Not only is this functional, it would look great on any kitchen counter. I’m West African and Mexican, which means rice is life.
  • ORLY GELFX Builder in a Bottle Kit – I’ve been trying other gel nail builders, but the ORLY GELFX is still the best one I’ve tried. So, I hope I can get one of my Santas to get another kit for me.
  • ME Manifesters Satin Jacket – I’ve been wanting a satin bomber style jacket for awhile and this one by Melody Ehsani is just right. Lowkey obsessed with this!

eSTYLIST: Thanksgiving 2022

I can’t believe that I haven’t done an eStylist post in so long. Of course, like most people since the pandemic started, my concept of time is on the fritz. However, let me see if the old mind can come up with a new styling idea.

American holidays have started to pique my interest the older I get. The main reason is because they are socially acceptable days that you can eat like a hungry hog and no one bats an eye. Thanksgiving is the top holiday when not only is this acceptable, but encouraged. I will admit that I enjoy Thanksgiving more as an adult than a child. Not just because I can cook and eat what I want, but I can leave early, too. The power of having a license and a car is top tier.

My brother and SIL were initially going to host a small dinner for our side of the family. However, at the last minute they decided that we all should meet at her aunt’s house for the big family dinner. Unfortunately, my sister’s fiance’ had serious medical condition late last week that has caused him to be in the hospital for the past few days. So, my sister and I ae going to cook at her house, which I’m glad about. The less people, the better in my book.

Although I’m probably going to just wear a pair of my many black leggings and oversize tee, here’s a little inspiration for ya’ll. You know, in case you are trying to make an impression by the dessert table this year.

LINK-END ROUND-UP: November 11, 2022 | STAINED COUTURE

Happy Friday and Veteran’s Day! I always show respect for those that serve our country. Much respect!

I didn’t realize that I haven’t done a Link-End Round-Up post for a few weeks. My bad! How was your week, because mine was on the crappy side? I started the week off by catching the head cold my newphew had already gave to his parents. So, I haven’t been able to breath out both my nostrils all week. I was taking allergy medicine and blowing my nose to prevent in from draining into my chest. However, I finally had the energy to go pick up some nasal spray yesterday, which has helped.

Speaking of that trip to get the nasal spray, I rolled my ankle and fell on my left knee while heading into the store. Thankfully my ankle is okay, but knee looks and feels horrible. Actually, it doesn’t hurt that bad. I left work early to go home to clean, prep and ice it. My sister brought me wound bandages, which I truly appreciate. It’s only been slightly discomfortable and I can walk normally. So, this should be all good in a week.

I think I’m finally ready to pull out my Christmas tree, which I was supposed to do last weekend. However, I’ve been seeing everyone else pull there’s out and it’s motivated me to do the same. So, that’s what I’m doing at some point this weekend.

Here’s to a great weekend and please check out these week’s Link-End Round-Up reads.
