Can you actually believe it’s August?! It’s still taking me a back a little, but I’ve been waiting for this month for the past 2 months. I have a little over a week to get ready for my vacation and I feel like I have so much to do. Although I’ve been sticking to my plan to pack as little as possible, I am worried about my skincare. I really enjoyed the beauty products I took on my last vacation, but that also included makeup. However, this time, I think I’m just bringing moisturizer and sunscreen. Actually, I just received some new sunscreens that are also moisturizers and this would be a good time to try.

Also, next week is my last week of work before my vacation, which gives me anxiety! Luckily, I no longer stress about work when I’m away from work. However, I did share an article below for those that do stress. I can’t wait to turn on my ‘out of office’ email next week!

As for this weekend, tomorrow is my BFF birthday! However, we’re celebrating on Sunday by going to this new sushi place, followed by shopping for spooky season. As much as I was trying to fight off people rushing Fall and Halloween, I’m starting to feel the spirit.

Hey, August! While I was driving to work this morning, it dawned on me that it’s actually August. For a lot people, it’a practically Fall, too. I went to Target yesterday and they already had some Fall decor in their bulleye aisle. I was tempted to pick up this pumpkin shaped drink dispenser, but I refrained. However, am I currently regretting that decision? Maybe.

Well, I’m putting myself on a spending freeze until after my vacation. My anxiety of making sure I stay within budget usually creeps up 2 weeks before my vacations. So, it’s on schedule because my vacation begins in exactly 2 weeks. However, I still have a couple of things I’m eyeing – even if I have to wait until the end of the month to get.

With that being said, check out this month’s Lust-Have List!

LUST-HAVE LIST: August 2023

Birkenstock Milano Sandals – I feel like Birkenstocks are one of the few sandals that year and this pair is no exception. They basically have the same look as the traditional pair, but with a buckled back strap.
K18 Hair Repair Starter Set – My hair is dire need of repair. I have a long overdue hair appointment when I get back from vacay. I’ve been mentally preparing myself for big trim. However, after that I’m going to get back into making sure my hair stays healthy and want to finally try K18. This starte kit seems like the right place to start.
Belted Mini Dress – I realize that I mostly reach for dresses in the fall, because they are great for transitionig between seasons. I love the contrasting design of this dress. Plus, the belted design helps give the look of an hour glass shape, which I need. lol
Underwater Oasis Fine Fragrance Mist – I recently picked up the lotion version of this scent because I had a coupon for a free bottle. It smells so good to where I now want body spray in this scent and maybe even the perfume version, if they make it. It’s a fresh beachy scent – smells amazing!
S’well Salad Set – Recently found out that S’well sales food containers made with of the material of their beverage containers. I own and love a couple of their travel drink containersm which assures me that I need this salad set. It even comes with a container to hold liquid.
Gold Ear Cuff – I’ve been pondering getting an ear cuff piercing for a minute, but I think just getting a ear cuff will curve the craving.

Happy Friday! The past couple of weeks have been insanely annoying. Nothing majorly bad has happened; just a bunch of little crappy things. The only thing that’s getting me through these next 2 weeks is the fact that I have a vacation coming up. I doing a true vacation of relaxation of beaching and lunching. Honestly, planning a lazy girl vacation has made the thought of packing easy. I’m just throwing, shorts, t-shirts, and swimsuits in a duffle bag and going. Love this for me!

Some good news that did happen is that my BFF/ hair stylist finally her baby a.k.a the most beautiful little version of her. Now that that finally happened, she has opened up her books and I have hair appointment. I’m so excited to get these roots done a trim. My hair has probably grown over 2 inches sne my last appointment, which is good since I’m sure she’s going to cut a nice amount. If I’m being honest, I did slack for a couple of weeks with my hair care. I ran out of deep conditioner and I didn’t wash my hair as much as I should’ve been doing. Don’t worry; I’m ashamed of myself, but I’ve gotten better.

The weather is supposed to be in the highs of hell. So, I’m inside all weekend, which would make it a good time to declutter and deep cleaning my apartment. Unfortunately, I’ve been putting that off for too long, but that ends this weekend. In the meantime, I hope you all have a good weekend and check out the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

For the last few months, I’ve been trying to learn more about manifesting my ideal life. While reading an article about manifesting that I featured in last week’s Link-End post, they mentioned making a list. In case you didn’t know, I’m a list girl. If I can find a moment where I think will help me out, I will immediately put pen to paper. A well planned list will have me feeling like I can take on the world.
