Chubby Chaser

I’ve been waiting for these to come out, because I’ve read some good reviews on them. Clinique’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color is a powerful cute chubby lip tint stick that not only provides a soft and natural color to your lips, but also is loaded with mango and shea butters.

I haven’t tried them in person, yet, but I already have a fancy to try the Super Strawberry, Whoppin’ Watermelon, and Whole Lotta Honey.

Brushing Up With… Brush Cleaners!

She’s BBAAACCKK! Yes, in-house beauty junkie, Beautylishus is back with two reviews on two different brush cleaners; Essence of Beauty Brush Cleaner and ELF Brush Cleaner. Keep reading to see her opinions!

Essence of Beauty Brush Cleanser: I’m a Essence of Beauty product fan so when I saw their brush cleaner on the wall I just had to try it! However, I was a tad bit apprehensive because the price was $10.00 for a drugstore brand, but I just sucked up my frugality and went ahead and bought it. When it was time to actually test the product I had hopes that it would be a good quick clean process but I was mistaken. The cleaner did clean the brush, but it wasn’t as fast drying as I would have hoped. The brush smell isn’t very pretty. Somewhat on the strong side. Think of a mixture between a flowery perfume and bleach and that’s what the smell is similar too. The thing that I really did like about this product is how there was no trace of makeup left in the brush. It completely clean and cleared out my eyeshadow brush fully pigmented with mac’s chrome yellow shadow! This product is a pretty okay product to just have, but if I were to skip it during checkout, I most definitely would.

ELF Brush Cleaner: When I received this product in the mail, I didn’t think too much of it because its made by the budget $1 cosmetic company ELF. after realizing that it was apart of their “pro” line, I became reeeeeeally excited  because their black label “pro” items have yet to fail me. This cleanser is a must have because it not only smells good but by the time you are finished cleaning (by brushing the bristles back and forth across a dry fabric) it dry and ready to be used. It also left no trace of color. It’s quick drying, good smelling inexpensive product! This officially stays in my kit. You should have it in your stash also!

Revlon ‘Fiercely’ ‘Pop’s MAC’s ‘Poodle’

As of recently, I’ve had a love/hate relationship with MAC products, especially with their lip glosses. Keep reading for more!

What I love about their glosses is that they have a wide range of shades,  but I’ve noticed that in the past few new items and collections that they’ve gone glitter and shimmer crazy. Seriously, those dazzleglasses could guide ships to shore!

Plus, the gooey consistency has been getting on my nerves, even with my go-to Pink Poodle gloss.

So, I’ve been experimenting with other brands and since Revlon is hands down my favorite drugstore brand I just knew that I could find a simpler substitute for my precious Poodle.

Keep reading for more!

The first gloss that was very comparable to Pink Poodle was Revlon’s Fiercely Fuchsia. It’s basically the same color of Pink Poodle, but without the gold speckles that have recently started to annoy me. The consistency is thick and opaque, but not sticky! Awesome.

The next gloss that I got was one that I kept searching random Walgreens around Memphis for, but couldn’t find it and eventually gave up a couple of months ago. However, a couple of weeks ago, I finally found it where I seem to find all the drugstore cosmetics I want now…at Kroger!

I’ve been wanting Revlon’s Super Lustrous in Pink Pop from their Limited Summer Collection that included 3 colors, but Pink Pop was the one that got my heart fluttering when I saw it swatched all over Youtube.

Pink Pop is very reminiscent of MAC’s cremesheen in Loud and Lovely, but not as pigmented or thick which I don’t mind one bit.

To be honest, I’ve recently started to get back into makeup after a few months of not really caring about getting the ‘It’ beauty of the moment. I think it can become to overwhelming when their is a new collection or limited item coming out every week from different lines, not just MAC. However, I think this break did me some good and I’m ready to start building up my makeup collection again. I have a lot catching up to do!
