Oily Winter Skin

Whew, the annual arctic blast finally hit my neck of the woods yesterday morning. Brr. My coat wasn’t the only thing I reached for as soon as the cold wind hit my face.  I also grabbed all the oils and heavy creams in my house to help crack through my quickly drying skin.

In skincare, most people think of oils for just moisturizing extremely dry skin, but that’s not the case anymore. Skin oils have multiple uses including cleansing, anti-aging, and purifying. So, I’m looking to add some more oils into my growing skincare regimen and I found more than a few that peaked my interest and potentially my wallet. Check them out below!

  • Caudalie Overnight Detox Oil – Your skin rejuvenates better overnight and this oil will help replenish and protect your skin while you sleep.
  • Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel – This cleansing oil is perfect for all skin types and deep cleanses while protecting your natural moisture levels. So, this is for all you beginners out there.
  • Dr. Dennis Gross Active Vitamin D Serum-Oil – An overnight serum that acts as an acne medication to clear blackheads and pores, which are 2 are my skin’s nemesis. Also, this serum-oil also absorbs excessive oil. Oil on oil crime…done right!
  • Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil – I’m becoming a huge fan of Ole Henriksen skincare products and I might go broke, but this oil is definitely on my to-buy list the next time I find myself walking into a Sephora, because it is packed with Vitamin C, Vitamin A, and other skin nourishing ingredients to help brighten, repair, and protect your skin. I’m sold.
