Happy Friday, friends! Hope you had a great week, because mine was pretty decent. However, I’m super glad the weekend is here so that I can rest my body and mind. What’s been so amusing to me is that I don’t really do anything on the weekend, but they have been feeling so long. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but it’s a thing. LOL

One of thing I’m doing this weekend is to finally start the new season of Love is Blind, because I’ve been waiting. My BFF has already started and has me excited to finally start it. Also, it’s NBA All-Star weekend, which I enjoy. So, needless to say, me and my sofa are going to be real close this weekend.

January just wrapped up already in a couple of day. So, how has your 2022 been treating you so far? Mine has been pretty chill and a little relieving, because I no longer have the holiday stress. Plus, some things that I was stressing about the later quarter of the year no longer plague me. I realized that a lot of those things worked themselves out or weren’t worth my time. My theme for 2022 is “Get At It”, which means that I need to stop overthinking and just live life. So far, I have been nailing!

This has been a long week. Currently, I’m working from home, because we are under a nice big ice chill and there are a lot of people without power. Fortunately for me, my power only went out for 6 minutes yesterday and I’ve been good ever since. I did go into the office briefly for my annual performance review/raise talk, which also came with a promotion. So, I’m obviously very excited about this new opportunity that I’ve praying for, to be honest. 😀

As for this weekend, I plan to defrost and do a some blog content planning, because I definitely dropped the ball the last couple of years. However, I’m ready and some posts and contents ready to share. Also, I would like to find the time and energy to put this wallpaper up behind my bar cart area. Getting that area and my dining area finally together is at the top of my list in regards to home decor. I’ve been putting off to wait to see if I was going to renew my lease. Thankfully, the increase wasn’t too steep – 10% – so I signed it and I’m here for another year. Happy about that, because this location has been perfect for me and the space is great, too.

Happy February! It’s Black History Month, the month of Love, and I’m sure some other things! However, I have some high hopes for this month, because I’m aspiring to live a life abundance. I know that sounds very “hotep”, but it’s true. Personally, I owe myself backpay for how hard I’ve been on myself over most of my life and it’s time to pay up. No better time like the present to get right with me for me.

In the meantime, here are some items I’ve been eyeing recently and need. Actually, I’m going to gift a couple of these things to myself as a Valentine’s gift to me. I mean, I love me and I need to start showing and proving that to myself. Keep reading to see the items I’m wanting this month, because all of them are worthy of my money.

LUST-HAVE LIST: February 2022

  • 12 Tea Sampler Kit – I’m still on a hot tea kick and would love to try more brands and flavors. This tea sampler kit would allow me to do both.
  • Nike 2022 Valentine’s Day AF1 – Never really been one to like pink shoes, but NIKE always gets it right. This is especially true for their Valentine’s Day collection – loving the embossed pink patent leather on this year’s AF1.
  • Small Woven Crossbody – Although a lot of us currently buried or preparing to be buried under snow in the next couple of days, I’m so ready for spring weather and accessories, especially this small woven crossbody and it’s under a $100. Love it.
  • KEYS Exfoliating Body Polish – Another reason I’m ready for spring is because winter has been drying my skin like crazy, including my body. So, I’m interested in trying this exfoliating body polish from Alicia Keys skincare line. Not only does it supposed to exfoliate the skin, but also moisturize it. We shall see.
  • Heart Shaped Ceramic Vase – I’ve been eyeing this heart shaped vase for the past couple of weeks and I’m thinking about getting as V-Day gift to myself. I love unique home decor like this one. I’m kind obsessed TBH.
