Other than focusing on having a clear complexion, I’m borderline obsessed with making sure my skin is naturally glowing and bright. I recently tried Ole Henriksen’s POWER Bright treatment for bright skin and was amazed by the almost instant results.
If you follow me on Instagram, you might’ve seen my picture featuring some products that I recently received from Ole Henriksen. One of said products was the POWER bright three step brightening treatment. The treatment contains an unprecedented 25% vitamin C concentrate, which explains the instant gratification of brighter and clearer skin after one use. Intriguing and interest peaked.
Step 1 of the treatment is all about prepping and polishing the skin with the Truth Sugar Glow Polishing mask. Apply it to clean, damp skin and leave it on for 5 – 10 minutes. Whenever the directions give a minimal and maximum time, I always try to go the max time. The only time I don’t is if my skin feels irritated and a burning sensation. Burning sensation, not tingling sensation. Burning bad, tingling good(ish). Luckily, I experienced no irritations, so I made it to the 10 minute mark. Once time was up, I applied warm water and rub the mask on my skin in circular motion for 30 seconds. Afterwards, I rinsed my skin and pat it dry.
On to Step 2, which is all about the brightening elements to this treatment. Step 2 is the 25% Vitamin C concentrate a.k.a the big guns. You apply this creamy concentrate to your skin and leave it on for 2-3 minutes as it dries. The most important thing to remember about this step is DON’T RINSE IT OFF! Yes, after time is up, move on to Step 3.
In Step 3, you apply the Pure Truth Melting Cleanser directly on top of the vitamin C concentrate and blend it evenly over your face and the concentrate. No water is needed. Once blended, leave on for 10 – 15 minutes. It’s suppose to tingle (not burn) and be warming. This is just the products activating their brightening and glowing powers. Once time is up, moisten the accompanying complexion sponges ( or washcloth) to gently remove the concentrate and cleanser mixture from your face. Voila, you’re done and step back and bask in the miraculous increase of brightness and glowy goodness your skin is showing.
I was so amazed that I was able to experience such immediate and noticeable results after one use. My face was brighter, glowing, and felt completely rejuvenated. It was as if I had just stepped out of a luxurious spa and not my bathroom with the sub par lighting.
