Summer Beauty Bag Must-Haves

Over my vacation last week, I decided to take on the challenge of finally condensing my list of daily must-have items that I keep in my purse. Not to mention, my tote was getting pretty heavy. One of the main things I need to minimize was the amount of products I carried in my summer beauty bag. In mind, all of the beauty items I keep floating around in my tote are must-haves. However, I will admit, it took longer than I thought and it was hard to pick and choose what could go. To make things easier, I limited myself to only 4 beauty products that I could keep in my summer beauty bag everyday. Only 4 beauty items. Wow.

Well, since I’m trying to be more natural this summer by wearing less make-up, I only picked items that were necessary essentials that I would need practically everyday. The item at the very top was sunscreen. In the past, I’ve haven’t been the best at making sure I wear enough or any sunscreen for that matter. However, I’m old enough to know better and the harsh effects the sun can have on your skin are nothing to ignore. I’m a new woman now, because I happily and religiously apply sunscreen multiple times throughout the day. The one sunscreen I’ve been using the most is my Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen, which I’ve mentioned before. It’s easy to apply, doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, and absorbs pretty quickly without any greasy residue. FYI, sunscreen should be at the top of EVERYONE’S must-have summer list.

The next beauty must-have I need is dry oil. I’m still crushing on Nuxe Nourishing Dry Oil. It’s lightweight, smells like a soft breeze on a beach at sunset, and adds just enough gleam to make a summer tan pop. Also, add it to your hair before and after getting it wet in the ocean or pool to help prevent your hair from getting to dry. Definitely worth the little space it takes up in my bag.

Lip balm is a must, especially this one from Korres in Pomegranate. It’s super hydrating for the lips and melts perfectly into your skin. I also use it as cream blush for those lazy days when I just need a natural flush on my cheeks. Therefore, for the multi-purpose option, a pink creamy lip balm is the right way to go. I use this balm and shade so much that I buy it a couple of times of year. No shame over here, people.

I’ve been growing my brows back out wide for the past few days, because I want still want bushy brows for the summer, because they are just more natural looking for my face. Thankfully, my brows grow in pretty fast. Still, I’m in the transition phase and some areas get a little sparse and that’s when I whip out my NYX Eyebrow pencil. I like this little bad boy, because the pencil is wide and suitable for my desired brows. Also, I love the brow brush on the other end, because it’s very full and great for taming natural brows.

It took a lot, but I feel confident in my selection of what I had to keep in my summer beauty bag. Share you beauty bag must-haves for the summer below.
