LINK-END ROUND-UP: October 6, 2023

Happy Friday, peeps! Here we are at another Friday where I feel like I’m being choked by my to-do list. You might recall that last week my job was moving locations, which turned into an all weekend situation. It was typical move of exhaustion followed by trying to locate items and boxes. Luckily, I only needed to fill up a medium size box with my belongings. Unfortunately, I didn’t find that one box until the other day.

We’re still trying to get organized, but we’re getting there. Now,  just need to get back to my personal to-do list. At the top of my list is setting up a long overdue eye doctor appointment. Last week I finally found a couple of options, but now I just need call to set up an appointment. Hoping to get to that today – no later than tomorrow.

Another thing I really need to do this weekend is finish setting up my halloween decorations. I have all the decor out, but now I just need to style. Honestly, my new neighbor has really gone all out. She added some decorations to her front door, which look staight out of a Pinterest board. I’ve got to get it together.

Happy Friday, friends! Have ya’ll been stressed all week because 3 of your 4 nephews had birthdays this week or is it just me? Luckily, today is the last one’s birthday and I’m going to take him and his brother lunch. I will then have a quick break until my birthday on Tuesday, which I plan to spend taking the day off. I’ve reached the point where I  just want to spend my birthday doing nothing. Now that I share my birthday month with my 3 youngest nephews, I need that break.

One thing that’s on my agenda is to finally decorate my balcony. I bought the stuff, but I need to put it up. If I don’t do it this weekend, that’s what I’m going to be doing on my birthday. However, I have to admit that I was a little apprehensive about taking the day off because it’s the day before we’re moving office space at work. Well, now, I feel like it’s going to be the perfect time so that I can rest before such a hectic move.

On second thought, maybe I should knock out the plans to do my balcony this weekend. That way, Tuesday will be all about doing nothing. I can’t wait! Still, I hope you have an amazing weekend and please check out the articles in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

How was your first full week of September? Did you finally start to get what day of the week it was yesterday or are you better than me? Those 3-day weekends stay playing with my sense of time, but I’m starting to enjoy them! The only badside of my Labor Day weekend was that it felt longer than usual, which made that first day back in the office rough.

One good thing that has happened is that second summer is finally wrappng up and cool mornings are back! The highs have been in the upper 80s for the past couple of days, which is making start to evaluate and plan my fall and winter wardrobe. I guess I’m about to login into my Pinterest account this weekend and get to pinning some inspiration. Another thing I’m going to be pinning is fall decor for apartment balconies. My new nighbor has done an amazing job decorating her balcony by hanging witch hats from the ceiling. I’m not doing all that, but I am going to try to do more than just a couple of pumpkins on the ledge.

Today is also my BFF’s daughter’s birthday, which means I have a birthday party to go to this weekend. It’s mermaid theme and it’s going to be fabulous! LINK-END ROUND-UP: August 11, 2023

Happy Friday, folks! I know I know most people always look forward to Friday – me, included. However, I’m extra excited because today is my last Fridy before my vacation. So, I’m probably staying late to work to make sure I tie up all my loose ends. Doing this will help prevent anxiety and allow me to enjoy my long overdue vacation.

I don’t leave until Wednesday, which gives me time to relax before the vacation. Honestly, I tell everyone you need to take a couple days off before vacation and before going back to work. Use the pre-trip days to pack, beauty maintenence appointment, and clean before leaving. Coming back to a clean home always hits. The only maintenence appointment I have is a nail appointment on Tuesday.I rescheduled my hair appointment to the Saturday after I get back. I didn’t want pool and ocean water messing up my color touch-up.

This weekend, I plan to deep clean my apartment and finalize what I’m bringing. Since this is going to be a short beach vacation – the less stuff the better.
