Can you actually believe it’s August?! It’s still taking me a back a little, but I’ve been waiting for this month for the past 2 months. I have a little over a week to get ready for my vacation and I feel like I have so much to do. Although I’ve been sticking to my plan to pack as little as possible, I am worried about my skincare. I really enjoyed the beauty products I took on my last vacation, but that also included makeup. However, this time, I think I’m just bringing moisturizer and sunscreen. Actually, I just received some new sunscreens that are also moisturizers and this would be a good time to try.

Also, next week is my last week of work before my vacation, which gives me anxiety! Luckily, I no longer stress about work when I’m away from work. However, I did share an article below for those that do stress. I can’t wait to turn on my ‘out of office’ email next week!

As for this weekend, tomorrow is my BFF birthday! However, we’re celebrating on Sunday by going to this new sushi place, followed by shopping for spooky season. As much as I was trying to fight off people rushing Fall and Halloween, I’m starting to feel the spirit.

Happy Friday! The past couple of weeks have been insanely annoying. Nothing majorly bad has happened; just a bunch of little crappy things. The only thing that’s getting me through these next 2 weeks is the fact that I have a vacation coming up. I doing a true vacation of relaxation of beaching and lunching. Honestly, planning a lazy girl vacation has made the thought of packing easy. I’m just throwing, shorts, t-shirts, and swimsuits in a duffle bag and going. Love this for me!

Some good news that did happen is that my BFF/ hair stylist finally her baby a.k.a the most beautiful little version of her. Now that that finally happened, she has opened up her books and I have hair appointment. I’m so excited to get these roots done a trim. My hair has probably grown over 2 inches sne  my last appointment, which is good since I’m sure she’s going to cut a nice amount. If I’m being honest, I did slack for a couple of weeks with my hair care. I ran out of deep conditioner and I didn’t wash my hair as much as I should’ve been doing. Don’t worry; I’m ashamed of myself, but I’ve gotten better.

The weather is supposed to be in the highs of hell. So, I’m inside all weekend, which would make it a good time to declutter and deep cleaning my apartment. Unfortunately, I’ve been putting that off for too long, but that ends this weekend. In the meantime, I hope you all have a good weekend and check out the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

Happy Friday! When I tell you, that this has been the longest shortest week ever. It started last weekend when bad weather rolled into town again and knocked out power in parts of the city again. The power outages got my job and we couldn’t go into the office. So, my weeken turned into a 4-day weekend due to the 4th being on Tuesday, which was fine. I did enjoy my extra long weekend, but having my Monday be on Wednesday was rough.

Actually, Wednesday was amazing compare to yesterday and even today. Yesterday, I spent a couple of hours trying to fix an issue with our shipping system, just to find out at my last hour that it’s somthing that we can’t even begin to get resolved until later today. The cherry on top is that when I walked in this morning, I was greeted by a moldy, musty smell which I immediately thought could be a leak. I was right; the bathroom cleaning came down due to a leak, which also affectedmy boss’ office. Luckily, she was out this week on vacation.

Here’s hoping that week will be better and I’m about to try live lie to the fullest this weekend. Because, baby, I deserve it! Happy Friday and last day of June! It’ s wild to think that this year is half way over, but this current heat wave we’re experiencing has me craving fall and winter. Sweating has never been my thing.

Aside from dealing with this heat wave, I’m am also on baby watch! MY BFF is very pregnant with her second baby girl can be here anyday. Well, we all want her to hurry, because my friend is tired and this Memphis heat is not letting up. We all though this bbay was going to come early like her first one. However, this one is giving I’m coming out on my due date if not later vibes. 😏

I know that some of you were smart enough to take Monday so that you can have a 4-day weekend. Cheer to you! I’m ready for all the grilled foods that this holiday brings. Another thing that this holiday brings is me cutting meat from my diet for a couple of weeks afterwards. My body needs that detox after the 4th, every year.
