LUST-HAVE LIST: April 2020 | STAINED COUTURE

Honestly, the things that I mainly are the products my nail tech uses to do my nails. Unfortunately, I need a professional license to buy most of them and they aren’t cheap. Oh, and full of links to the gambit of face masks that everyone is making now, which is amazing. So, I decided to share some other products that you may interest you, too.

Actually, I’ve been very good on spending, but mostly buying groceries. Plus, I really haven’t been wanting much, because there is nowhere to go while looking cute. So, most of the things I want this month are things to hold me up while I wait for my hair stylist and nail tech to get off government punishment.

LUST-HAVE LIST: April 2020

  • Reformation Open Back Side Slit Dress – Although, I don’t have anywhere to wear this dress, it’s going to be perfect for late Spring and Summer. That slit, though?! Love it. BONUS: It comes in regular and plus size!
  • UGG Oh Yeah Slippers – I was never into these UGG slippers when I first saw them a couple of years, ago. However, these have become the unofficial lifestyle blogger quarantine house shoe. The more I’ve seen them, the more I want a pair in coral. I feel like I’m going to treat myself to these when I get paid.
  • Color Depositing Mask in Bordeaux– I don’t think I ever shared over here, but I got my hair dyed a red/auburn color 2 weeks before the world shutdown. Of course, my hair has been growing like crazy since then and I can’t go get it retouched. I saw these color depositing masks and think they may be able to hold me up. because they are temporary. I’m going to ask my hair master first, but I hope she says I can try it. *fingers crossed*
  • Niacinamide Gel Cream – My aging and sometimes acne-prone skin needs to add Niacinamide back to my routine. I usually use this ingredient via a serum. However, I saw it comes in gel cream formula, which will be great when my skin becomes more oily in the summer. Plus, it only costs $20!

LUST-HAVE LIST: March 2020 | STAINED COUTURE

March is here! As soon as the calendar changed to March, the forecast instantly saw warmer temperatures. Not much sun, but in due time. Therefore, I’m all about looking for cute spring things and things to help me relax my mind more. January felt like it was never going to end and February was full of stress and it lacked luster. So, hopefully, March will be much better and help me forget the previous 2 months.

In the meantime, please see what I’m wanting this month and why.

LUST-HAVE LIST: March 2020

  • LUCID Calming Lavender Foam Pillow – A value sleep and try to do all things to help get good sleep. So, this memory foam pillow that’s infused with lavender is makes me giddy.
  • Electric Nail File – I think it’s time for me to finally get a electric file, because I’ve been practicing doing my own gel manicures. Although I can remove them with a gritty nail file, my wrist is tired of these shenanigans.
  • Red Cheetah Print Wrap Dress – I’m getting to the point where I can’t not want everything cheetah print. I mostly have traditional brown cheetah prints, but I think a red option is needed.
  • Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask – Listen, I couldn’t phantom paying more than $15 for a lip mask. However, I’ve been hearing and seeing amazing reviews about this Tatcha lip mask. Plus, my lips have been dropping hints that it needs and deserves something fancy. So, this may be it.
  • Nude Espadrille Ankle Strap Sandals – This past weekend, it took everything in me to not buy this pair of sandals. However, now that the weather is warming up, I don’t think I’m going to fight this urge much longer. I think I’ll end up buying them this weekend.

LUST-HAVE LIST: February 2020 | STAINED COUTURE

Can you believe it’s finally February? Sheesh – January always feels so long. However, we’ve finally entered February and I couldn’t be more happier. I appreciate February, because it’s usually filled with some simple holidays and it’s my mom’s birthday month.

I’m really excited for this month, because I have a passion project that I’m working. Of course, I’m just in the beginning stages, but I spent some time this weekend working on it. So, I’m really enjoying this feeling – even if it never some to fruition. The journey is the best part, because you learn the most about you and hone in on your goal. It’s fun and I’ll talk about it more in an upcoming post.

As for this month’s Lust-Have List – it’s a sprinkle of wants and wants that could be classified as needs. However, keep reading to see all the items I’m lusting for this month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: February 2020

  • Underground Ankle Boots – Boot season is rapidly ending soon. However, these lace-up booties look so sick! I would legit wear them all year a’ la Doc Martens. Get into those laces all the way to the toe. I die!
  • Watermelon Glow Lip Pop – I tried a few Glow Recipe products last year – some bad and some stars. So, I haven’t scraped them off my brands to buy list, yet. Their new multi-purpose lip product that exfoliates, moisturizes, and tints the lips is on my want list. Basically, everything I want in lip products.
  • Compact Air Fryer – I feel like I’m the last person I know who doesn’t have an air fryer, which is giving me FOMO AF. Oddly, both my brother and ex asked me did I want an air fryer for Christmas, which I declined. So, I’m not a fan of December 2019 me, because I want an air fryer so bad now. I love the retro looking vibes of this Cuisinart one – cute!
  • Embroidered Pephem Dress – One of my favorite dresses I bought last summer was a printed layered pephem dress from Target.  It gave me my favorite ‘C’ vibes – comfortable, cute, and compliments. Therefore, I’m really feeling this dark and moody one from ASOS. It would make a great piece to transition from Winter to Spring. I see the potential.
  • Metallic Faux Leather Top Handle Bag – Mini bags will always have a small piece of my heart. I still love my mini metallic gold purse. However, I’ve always wished the handle was roomy enough to wear on my forearm. I spotted these adorable mini metallic top handle bags. I really love the red and it would be a great grab-n-go purse.

LUST-HAVE LIST: January 2020

  • Algenist GENIUS Liquid Collagen – I need more collagen in my life, because my skin is starting to shift down. After spending an insane amount of time researching products, Algenist Liquid Collagen seems the be the best collagen product on the market. I wish I knew this when I was able to get it for 20% off during the Sephora sale. Hopefully, I’ll bite the bullet this month.
  • Black Faux Croc Buckle Boots – Another I need more of in my life are shoes with texture. Faux croc is one of my favorite textures, which is why I’m feeling these boots. Plus, they come in wide width. Cute wide with boots still exist, ladies.
  • Gold and Diamond Libra Necklace – If there is something that says “Libra”, I want it and every color. Although this zodiac necklace doesn’t say Libra, it’s gold and diamonds, so I’ll be okay. Plus, the price is affordable for the quality and materials. I want to collect real gold jewelry from now on.
  • 2020 Create & Cultivate Planner – Over the past few days, people on my IG feed have been on a mad hunt for the Create & Cultivate journals. The journals are only available at Target and sold out online. Some people have been able to find them in select stores. I know of one in my area, which I’m planning to hit this weekend. Wish me luck.
  • Heavenly Luxe Complexion Brush – This past weekend, I rediscovered my love of dual-end makeup brushes. Courtney Kerr of Kerrently.com uses this IT Cosmetics double-ended brush, which she praises highly every time. I have a couple of It Cosmetics brushes and the quality is amazing. So, I know I won’t regret this purchase.

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2019

Stained Couture’s monthly series, Lust-Have List, features items I’m wanting this month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

Hey, December! Ya’ll? Can you believe that 2019 is almost over, as well as the decade?! I’m shook.

My lust-have list for December is usually a Christmas wishlist. However, I’ve been telling everyone that I don’t really want anything for Christmas, because I feel content. It’s a good feeling to feel like you have everything you need, even if you don’t. Still, I was able to find a few things that caught my eye and I may send to couple of people as gift options. *insert devilish grin*

LUST-HAVE LIST: December 2019

  • Bluetooth Earmuffs – For the past couple of years, I’ve been wanting a new pair of earmuffs that don’t look like huge balls of fur on the side of my  head. These earmuffs from Pottery Barn look simply perfect and they also have bluetooth and microphone. So, you can look warm and be discreetly connected.
  • Faux Leather Plus-size Biker Jacket – I’ve been craving a simple and affordable biker jacket. Although I would prefer a real leather biker jacket, this ASOS one looks pretty good for a fake leather one.
  • Fresh Life Body Oil – I’m addicted to body oil, especially in the winter and I prefer to have a few options. I had a whiff of Fresh Beauty’s Life Body Oil recently and I can’t stop thinking about it. It has a light, but fragrant scent that I must have in my life.
  • Nail Art Brush Set – As a hobby, I recently started to do my own nail art in between my nail appointments. Not only does it help to relax me, but it’s been helping my nails stay strong and grow. Since this is just a hobby, this set of nail art brushes is the bare minimum I need and they cost less than $6.
  • Faux Fur Lace-Up Boots – While doing some Black Friday shopping, I spotted these furry lace-up boots at Target and it was love at first sight. They look so good in person – in black and brown. Initially, I wanted the black ones, but the brown ones spoke louder to me. Not buying these boots is my only regret of the weekend. However, I’m hoping to catch them on sale, before the month ends.
