LUST-HAVE LIST: June 2024 | STAINED COUTURE

June might become one of my favorite months because it officially welcomes Summer on June 20th. I’m usually not hyped for summer, because I don’t like being hot. However, I spent a lot of time outside last summer and enjoyed it. Therefore, I want to see what I can enjoy it again. lol We shall see! June also begins the list of birthdays of my loved ones – my childhood bestie (10th) and oldest nephew (16th) kick it off.

As I think about it, maybe I’m not ready. I think I will be after a couple trips to the pool. As of this moment, I don’t have any plans for a summer vacation, yet. Of course, things may change and that’s a little exciting.

To be honest, I’m really craving a lazy summer of going with the flow and hopefully a nice tan and muscles. An easy, lazy summer sounds perfect and I think all the items in this month’s Lust-Have List reflect the vibe I’m aiming to have.

LUST-HAVE LIST: June 2024

  • Mini Raffia Bucket Bag – I think a raffia bag is the perfect nude bag for summer. Personally, I’m obsessed with this mini raffia bag, because it’s so chic.
  • Overtone in Ginger duo – I want to add more pop to my dark copper hair without lightening it. I tried the sample size of this coloring conditioner and the results were good. It  was a small amount, but I want to try the duo to see will it give me what I envision.
  • Linen Pullover shirt – I live for a good pullover linen shirt for the summer and this one from H&M looks perfect for work or play.
  • PHLUR Missing Person – Last year, I got a sample of this perfume but decided on another scent. The scent has lingered in my heart ever since and got body spray that smells just like it. So, now I feel like I need the perfume even more now.
  • Flat Hoop Earrings – I’m getting into my slick hair bun era and these flat hoops will compliment it so well!

LINK-END ROUND-UP: May 31, 2024 | STAINED COUTURE

I’m so glad summer is practically here! I still haven’t locked down where I want to go this year, but I know I need one! Maybe if I start looking for things to pack, it will motivate me to secure a destination. When it comes to taking vacations, I like to pack light. I like for all of my stuff to fit into  you suitcase and a travel friendly backpack. Carefree and easy is what I want when I think of a vacation. So, that’s what I’m looking for in my next one.

Honestly, I probably feel ready for a vacation because this past 3-day Memorial Day weekend tired me out. Although I did meet my protein goals each day, it was mostly in the form of smoked meats off the grill. It took me a couple of days to get rid of the bloat, but I’m back.

This weekend should be a lot calmer than last weekend. I think I’m going to work on my balcony and plants. Very much lazy days of summer are coming, which will involve me going to the pool. I even told my boss that there will be some days I come back from lunch looking a little tanner than when I left. That’s just one of the benefits of working across the street from my apartments.

While I ponder my plans for the summer, check out the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

Has it been well over month since I’ve posted a Link-End Round-Up? Well, let’s ignore that question and move on.

Happy Friday people! If you are in the states, are you ready for a 3-day weekend? Usually, I’m not a fan of 3 -day holiday weekends, but I need this one. I plan to do whatever want, which is nothing lol. However, I’m pretty sure it’s not going to go that way. My sister is planning to grill and a friend on mine might in town. So, this weekend might be super chill or super chaotic, but I’m either way.

Honorable Mention: I also plan to heal this chemical burn and/or allergic reaction I gave myself. Luckily it’s mild and healing on it’s on with the help of my no-actives skincare routine. Oh, and plenty of Aquaphor and vitamin E.

EMPTIES: April 2024

EMPTIES: April 2024

EMPTIES: April 2024 | STAINED COUTURE

Is this going to be the quickest EMPTIES post ever? Looks like it, but both of these products were fabulous. I loved both of these products so much that I’ve already repurchased both of these products twice.

The EOS 24 H Body Lotion has become my go-to body moisturizer. This is a thick cream that is loaded with a number of oils and butter. Therefore, this lotions melts into the skin, including dry skin. The cherry on top is that this Vanilla Cashmere scent smells so good. It’s a light, but rich vanilla scent that smells great on its own and layered with other scents.

Finally, I used up another tube of the Redken Acidic Bonding 5-minute mask, which is helping me repair my hair. A couple months ago, my stylist and I decided to try bleach in my hair again. We tried a few years ago and experienced a little damage and repaired it over time. So, decided to give it another try to see and the damage was worst this time. Honestly my hair is fickle about bleach, but we tried it in the cold, dry winter. That was not the best conditions to do that. So, me and this Redken mask have been putting in hard work, which is paying off.

Redken recently launched this same product but formulated for curly hair, which I plan to try next.
