IOTW: Weleda Skin Food

ITEM OF THE WEEK is a weekly series on Stained Couture that highlights a product we’re currently loving. This week: Weleda Skin Food

I just realizes that I’ve been doing Item of the Week for a little over a year. Kind of mind-blowing, because it doesn’t feel like I’ve been doing this for that long. Can you remember the first item I included? Here’s a hint!

So, this week’s Item of the Week is long overdue for a couple of reasons. One reason is because it’s been a minute since I’ve shared an item of the week. The other reason is because I’ve been using, abusing, and loving Weleda’s Skin Food for far too long to not have given it the spotlight it deserves. So, keep reading to see all the reasons this product has been rocking my world.

LINK-END ROUND-UP: March 8, 2019

Stained Couture’s weekly series, Link-End Round-Up, features interesting reads I read from around the internet this week.

Happy Friday, playa partnas! I hope your week was productive; no matter if it was easy or hard. Being productive, proactive, and getting results is always a win, because it’s proof that you tried.

My week was very…all over the place. Actually, I spent most of my energy focusing on the energy around me from other people. Needless to say, it’s been stressful. It can be very stressful realizing that there’s something/someone in your life that drains you more than fulfills you. Not to mention, it’s even worse if that thing/person plays a big part of your life. So, I’ve been trying to decide if that relationship is worth restoring or evaporating. So, that’s what I’m praying through at the moment.

Oh, an update on my attempts to buy a new sofa: still NO sofa. After much consideration, I’ve decided to hold off on buying a new sofa until I pay off my new bed. I plan to pay off my bed in 3 months, instead of the year I agreed to when I bought it. I didn’t want to take a big chunk out of my savings to buy a sofa, nor did I want to use a credit card or finance it. So, since I really don’t need a sofa at this time, I can wait another couple of months.

I’ve only been in my new place for a couple of weeks and everyday I realize I need to get something. The latest item is a vacuum cleaner, which I’ve been in denial about since I moved in. I haven’t had to deal with carpet in over 5 years. However, I can’t deal with all this carpet without a vacuum. So, I plan to hit up Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a 20% coupon this weekend to find an efficient vacuum that can suck up every crumb and dust particle from my carpet. Also, it would be nice if it doesn’t weigh too much, since I’m going to have to carry it up 3 flights of stairs. Whew, chillay!

I hope your weekend is happy, fulfilling, and allows you to stop by over here next week. See ya! Enjoy the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

Tips for Wearing Natural Deodorant

I’m back to using natural deodorants. For the past couple of years, I’ve been falling in and off natural deodorants. However, for the most part, I’ve been mainly using them for well over a year. Initially, I started using natural deodorants, because I heard and read about some of the dangers of the ingredients in most deodorants and antiperspirant. Although I’m not really sure about those claims, I would rather be safe than sorry. Plus, over these past couple of years I’ve learned tips for wearing natural deodorants.

LUST-HAVE LIST: March 2019

Stained Couture’s monthly series, Lust-Have List, features items I’m wanting this month.

It took a lot for me not to fill up this month’s Lust-have List with sofas, chairs, and coffee tables since those are the main things I’ve been looking to buy. Whew, chile, shopping to fill up a 2 bedroom apartment can be tiring and expensive. However, I diverted from that and instead focused on the little things I want and low-key need.

The first day of spring begins on the 20th of this month. So, most of these items are spring forward. Therefore, keep reading to see what items I’m wanting this month.

LUST-HAVE LIST: March 2019

  • Baltic Necklace, $62, Shashi – I’m still in love with my Shashi shell necklace and think this all gold one from Shashi would compliment it perfectly.
  • Linea Paolo Anya Bow Mules, $99, Nordstrom – For the past couple of months, I’ve been going through a baby pink/ blush phase. So, this bow mules in this perfect shade of blush is right up my alley.
  • Satin Scrunchie, $9, Slip – I’m addicted to scrunchies and prefer all of them in satin.
  • Hooded Windbreaker, $52.99, Old Navy – I haven’t had or wanted a windbreaker in decades. This one from Old Navy looks cool and classic. However, I’m hoping to catch it on sale. 😛
  • Stunna Lip Paint in Unlocked, $24, Fenty Beauty – One of my favorite red lip products in Fenty Stunna in Uncensored. This new Stunna lip paint is the perfect hot pink lip for spring.
