IN MY BAG: Summer 2018

Summer isn’t over, yet. We still have another month or so before we can officially welcome fall. However, now that the weather is trying to cool down and kids are back in school, it might as well be fall. I’m not going to miss much about summer, because it was hot and stressful. However, one thing I will miss is the bag I carried for most of the summer, which is also my favorite thing I bought recently. Although it wasn’t big, you wouldn’t believe all things that I would have in my bag at any given time.

The bag I carried most of the summer is round straw bag by Hat Attack. When I saw it online, I thought it was white with silver detail. However, it’s actually a really light gray with silver straw. Lazy Girl’s Guide To Packing For Vacation

Up until my mid-20s, I used to hate traveling for vacation. It was just an absolute headache and that was back when I didn’t have to be responsible for any of the financing. However, I eventually learned to not only like traveling, but love it. I was able to do this my simplifying as many elements of traveling as possible, starting with creating a guide to packing for vacation.

When I pack for vacation, I start by being realistic of what I’m going to need. I loathe over-packing. Not only are your carrying around waste, but depending on if you’re flying, it can cost you a lot of money. So, I’ve become very conscious of what I really need to bring when on vacation. Not to mention, bringing too many options will leave room for you to overthink. Who wants to overthink anything on vacation, let alone which color shorts to wear? Not me. Looking For A New Grown Woman Bag

Last year was the year a minimized various areas in my daily life. However, the main thing that I minimized was my everyday grown woman bag. Ever since I was in high school, I always carried a big purse, be it a tote or oversized satchel. The bigger it was, the more likely I would want it and buy it. However, last year, I decide that I wanted to challenge myself to start carrying smaller bags. Not only were my bags last year “smaller”, but they were pretty much mini bags.

It took me a while to get used to only carrying a bag that could only hold my phone, keys, and maybe a tube of lipstick. However, after a couple of months, my mini purse became my new norm. In the fall, I eventually upgraded to carrying small, but roomy pouches. This challenge has been fun for the past year, but I’m ready to start carrying roomy purses again. Thankfully, I already found a few possible contenders that meet my needs.
