Happy Friday! Hope you had a good week and trying to enjoy of much as summer, as possible. Personally, I’m on countdown for my upcoming summer vacation, which in a month. Now that it’s getting closer, I’m starting to make sure I have everything together for the trip. The easiest part is that I’m really planning to dress like a beach bum – shorts, tees, and swimsuits. The only thing I know I have to buy is a large cute beach tote, which I will probably buy at the last minute. I just want this vacation to hurry up and come already!

The other things I’ve been anticipating to come this summer arrived yesterday – my BFF finally had her second daughter! Actually, I’m going to go see them in person as soon as this post is published. I’ve seen a couple of pictures and shes’ gorgeous. However, I’m sure she’s going to be even gorgeous in person.

Since I’m trying to cut back on spending until the vacation, I’m laying low this weekend. The only things I need to do this weekend is wash my car and try to get my Apple watch fixed. It’s been so hard and weird not wearing my watch for the past few days. Plus, a new Apple watch is not not in my budget right now. So, please pray that they can fix it!

In the meantime, I hope you have a great weekend check out the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up post. I highly recommend the one about how you can manifest the life you want.

Happy Friday! I don’t know about you, but I’m very glad that today is Friday. I plan to enjoy this weekend, because I definitely had a true week of adulting. Work was working me this week, but I also had to finally file my taxes. Also, I’m still recovering from that taxes due balance, but I came up with a gameplan to combat next years. However, I got it done, but I’m moving on to the next things on my to-do list.-

I may have mentioned it before, I’m truly aspiring to no longer be one of those people that wait until the end of the year to schedule their appointments. So, I’m planning to call and schedule those appointments next week. I would like to have them all done by my birthday, which is in September. That is a doable goal, but it’s relying on me to get it done.

Crap! Another thing I want/need to do is purge my closet. I did hear that the weather is supposed to be gloomy this weekend. So, that makes it the perfect scenario to stay and purge. I don’t have that many clothes, as is, but the ones I do have need to go. Hopefully, most be in good condition to donate, which is the goal when purging any clothing and home goods. I’m actually getting excited aboout cleaning out my closet and making more room.

I hope you all have a great weekend and please check out the articles in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.

eSTYLIST: 4th of July 2019

Tomorrow is the 4th of July. What are you doing to celebrate?

eSTYLIST: 4th of July 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

Raise your hand if you having a 4-day weekend! Lucky you, because I have to go to work on Friday. So,send grilled chicken wings and frozen margaritas in lieu of flowers. However, I’m going to try and get as much rest as possible. As I sit here and type this, I don’t even think I want to leave my apartment tomorrow. I mean, it’s unbearably hot and too humid to sit and watch fireworks. Plus, the new season of Stranger Things premieres on Netflix.

Now that I think about it, it will be a perfect day to Netflix and Chill, friends. So, I think that’s what I’m going to do, but I do wish I had a new ‘fit for the 4th. My mom buying me a new outfit for the 4th is high on the list of things I miss about not being an adult. However, nowhere near the number 1 reason; not paying bills.

However, if I did have a reason (and budget) to buy me a new outfit for the festivities, it would be similar to the one above.

  • Silver Bamboo Hoop Earrings – I would prefer gold bamboo hoops, but silver look better with this look.
  • Denim Bib Overall Dress – I’m not that into overalls, but I’ve been wanting to try a denim overall dress. I prefer the a-line shape of this bib dress, because it will help define my no shape.
  • Short Sleeve Lettuce Mesh Top – A mesh top will be perfect for this dress; with or without bra.
  • Nike Air Max FF 720 – I stumbled across these slingback sneaker sandal hybrids while browsing Nike.com. Initially, I didn’t get it, but now I want them. I think they only look fly with short dresses, skirts, and shorts.

LINK-END ROUND-UP: March 8, 2019

Stained Couture’s weekly series, Link-End Round-Up, features interesting reads I read from around the internet this week.

LINK-END ROUND-UP: March 8, 2019 | STAINED COUTURE

Happy Friday, playa partnas! I hope your week was productive; no matter if it was easy or hard. Being productive, proactive, and getting results is always a win, because it’s proof that you tried.

My week was very…all over the place. Actually, I spent most of my energy focusing on the energy around me from other people. Needless to say, it’s been stressful. It can be very stressful realizing that there’s something/someone in your life that drains you more than fulfills you. Not to mention, it’s even worse if that thing/person plays a big part of your life. So, I’ve been trying to decide if that relationship is worth restoring or evaporating. So, that’s what I’m praying through at the moment.

Oh, an update on my attempts to buy a new sofa: still NO sofa. After much consideration, I’ve decided to hold off on buying a new sofa until I pay off my new bed. I plan to pay off my bed in 3 months, instead of the year I agreed to when I bought it. I didn’t want to take a big chunk out of my savings to buy a sofa, nor did I want to use a credit card or finance it. So, since I really don’t need a sofa at this time, I can wait another couple of months.

I’ve only been in my new place for a couple of weeks and everyday I realize I need to get something. The latest item is a vacuum cleaner, which I’ve been in denial about since I moved in. I haven’t had to deal with carpet in over 5 years. However, I can’t deal with all this carpet without a vacuum. So, I plan to hit up Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a 20% coupon this weekend to find an efficient vacuum that can suck up every crumb and dust particle from my carpet. Also, it would be nice if it doesn’t weigh too much, since I’m going to have to carry it up 3 flights of stairs. Whew, chillay!

I hope your weekend is happy, fulfilling, and allows you to stop by over here next week. See ya! Enjoy the reads in this week’s Link-End Round-Up.
