Jamaican Black Castor Oil: A Love Story

A couple of months ago, I had a less than average wax job at a wax bar by a big makeup brand in a bigger makeup store. If you know the players in that sentence, please know that I still love those brands. However, they did your girl and her brows wrong this one Saturday. However, my brows and I were able to regrow and prosper again thanks to patience and one product. That product is Jamaican Black Castor oil.

I decided to try it on my brows and voila, brows are back! Jamaican Castor Oil has been a blessing to my life for the past couple of years. REVIEW: Cantu Dry Co-Wash Shampoo

Personally, I love dry shampoo, because it has helped me prolong hairstyles, tie me over until I can wash my hair, and added volume to dull hair. For those reason, dry shampoo is an ultimate lazy girl beauty product. However, it’s been hard finding a dry shampoo to use to refresh and revive my thick, naturally curly hair. Therefore, when stoked when I saw this Cantu Dry Co-Wash Shampoo.

As someone who switches between wearing my hair straightened and naturally curly, I’ve acquired multiple products for each style. I wish I could have a streamlined list of products I can use and enjoy no matter how I wear my hair. Quick Fixes to Hide Grey Hair

Currently, my hair and I are at a crossroad, because I’m not sure if I want to keep my hair black or go lighter for the spring. Back in the fall, I dyed my hair jet black and I loved it. However, a couple of months ago I decided that I wanted to go lighter in the spring. So, my colorist decided we should start in January and gradually get lighten my hair over a couple of months. Now that it’s January, I’m not sure if I want to go lighter now. I know, I’m complicated.

While I go back and forth with this dilemma, my hair is still growing. With this new growth, I have grey hairs and roots are popping up all over my head. Since I can’t dye my hair until I come up with a decision, I’ve had to look for quick fixes to hide my grey hairs. Fortunately, there are plenty of quick and temporary options for hiding grey hairs and roots.

Fighting Dry Scalp with L’Oreal

Aside from needing extra time to warm my car up in the morning and having to up my moisturizer game, cold weather brings some other problematic things into my life. During the colder months I find myself fighting dry scalp. Yes, your girl’s scalp gets dry in the winter, too. So, I’m usually finding products to help combat the flaking and dandruff that comes along with having a dry scalp.

Recently, I started using L’Oreal EverFresh Anti Dandruff system that includes an exfoliating scrub, shampoo, and conditioner. L’Oreal’s EverFresh line was developed to help those of us who suffer from the dry, flaky scalp. I only have to deal with dry scalp in the winter, because of the harsh cold weather. However, this line might be worth trying if dry scalp is a constant problem for you.
